    Yes. Some other countries’ geography classes do teach people (yours probably being one of them) that Denali & Aconcagua are on the same continent but they are both members of the seven summits & the seven summits challenge considers Denali & Aconcagua on separate continents. As a result people taking on the seven summits challenge(such as Perma Travels here) are required to climb Denali & Aconcagua separately. Even if some countries’ geography classes teach people that they're both on the same continent.

    Great vid as always. Check out Elite Exped for their Manaslu Expedition. It’s affordable compared to the other 8000ers. Currently planning a Lobuche East and Ama Dablam combo with them starting mid-October. Look forward more vids, your Ama Dablam one was incredible. Good luck on future travels.

    Not taking in consideration the himalayas chain, with hundreds of peaks over 7000 meters, and several over 8000, Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the world, not only south America.

  • @PemaTravels

  • @georginiuss
    @georginiuss7 ай бұрын

    @@PemaTravels yes, of course, himalayas are by far the highest mountains in the world, but saying highest peak in SOUTH AMERICA is as well a lot of miss consideration, Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the whole American continent (south, central and north america) and is higher than any peak in Africa, Europe, Oceania and Antarctica

  • @PemaTravels
    @PemaTravels7 ай бұрын

    @@georginiuss I am very annoyed of having to repeat this multiple times in the comments, but North and South Americans (and other countries in other continents) teach different theories of geography. This relates to the seven summits which includes separate peaks for north and South America. Aconcagua is the highest for South America - just one of the seven summits. Very few places in the world outside of South America teach continental theory with 6, not 7 continents. There are separate models for 4 & 5 continents as well.

    @@georginiussYes. Some geography classes do teach people that Denali & Aconcagua are on the same continent but they are both members of the seven summits & the seven summits challenge considers Denali & Aconcagua on separate continents(Both Richard Bass & Reinhold Messner agree with this).
