    No banking it's not angle it's called banking but it's flat all carpet ovals are flat because it's hard to make a indoor perfectly smooth banked oval carpet track and 90 percent of carpet tracks at clubs use it for both oval and road course racing. Like our local club they bought the 2019 snowbirds track and we use it for both oval and road course and it's nice cuse we get to run on the snowbirds exact same size and carpet oval all year round to get our cars perfected for the snowbirds each year during club race days We race every Thursday and sat and Sunday when it's on road cuse we add a few jumps and race off road on Sundays and open for practice all week long

    @@colemanbinyon7063 We built these like a tank. You can't hurt them. There are 1" bearings that hold the roller that are rated for 2000 lbs each. We have many racers using our dynos up to 1/5th scale. They have massive horsepower. Our dyno handles it no problem.

    If you have dual motors, 1 drives the front wheels and 1 drives the rear wheels I assume you could make a dyno with a dual load/flywheel setup to see how balanced the power distribution is. The tuning can be done a number of ways after that. Dual ESC means % of throttle can be adjusted. So a dual dyno would make this possible, unless you can do it another way?

  • @telinoz1975
    @telinoz19753 жыл бұрын

    As, you can't just turn the car around on a single dyno setup ;-)

  • @mcpappyracing1326
    @mcpappyracing13263 жыл бұрын

    We don't have it shown on the web site yet, but you can ask us to make you one with dual large rollers. So all the goodies you see in the back of the dyno will be up front as well. This gives you a lot of possibilities. You could even have up to 4 slave motors :)

    I am very interested in this dyno. only question I have is how fast can I go on the rollers.

  • @mcpappyracing1326
    @mcpappyracing13264 жыл бұрын

    This dyno is built overkill. You can't hurt it. The bearings are a massive 2" (seen at the 2:10 mark) and each rated for over 2000lbs. The only limiting factor is the rubber on the roller. We ship with bicycle tubing which mechanically holds, plus we glue it to the roller. But if you want, we can upgrade you to some silicone bands that are about 4 times thicker. We use the dyno's with 3.0 turn open modified brushless motors with no issues. We have customers that use it for drag racing and then there is guys using it up to 1/5th scale nitro pushing some serious horsepower. So far, all reports are good. No issues.

  • @mcpappyracing1326
    @mcpappyracing13267 жыл бұрын

    Sure thing. You can use any bicycle tire that is about 2.6"-2.8" (measured deflated, pressing flat). You can order from us if needed, or here is what we use: www.jensonusa.com/Tubes/Surly-29-X-3-Presta-Valve-Tube . I cut to size, then invert the tube so smooth side is out. Wash it well. Stretch it out. Wet it with rubbing alcohol or window cleaner, and stretch it on. The alcohol/window cleaner will evaporate. Once it's on and dry, I then roll a long screwdriver in between the roller and tube. This allows me to insert a Q-tip with E6000 (or similar glue). If you want more durability, you can use a bunch of rubber bracelets.

I can hold an XLR connector in one clamp and perfectly position my wire in the other, leaving both hands free to solder. Sooo much easier than the standard hands like you showed.
