I did San Francisco to Santa Barbara in 2021

I just biked from San Francisco to Los Angeles! I camped at Leo Carrillo. Their hiker/biker campsite is now washed out. They put me in a regular campsite with the regular charge of more than $7. Reportedly, the hiker/biker campsite at the Sycamore Canyon campground 5 miles to the west up the Pacific Coast Highway is still available.
AWESOME! From a fellow Pedalist, I approve this video! There is no place like the trail. Life at bike speed is what it is all about.
I can dig it.
Delightful and very informative video. I greatly admire the beauty and practicality of Adventure Cycling maps and really enjoyed learning some of the history as well as the relationships between USBRS, DOT, AASHTO, and Local Communities. Bike touring is one of my favorite pastimes and I was a professional map maker for nearly 40 years. I would love to help. Thank You!
Check the wind direction!!! Ride to the South on the West Coast of the US; ride West to East across the country!
I love this podcast, but it's been two years. Is it done? Should I unsubscribe?
This is the intro to RedLetterMedia's Half In The Bag!
Wow I hope Bike Nomad comes to Nassau, Bahamas. We need to learn touring tips and tricks from him.
I love this video. I hope he comes to Nassau, Bahamas. I would be willing to give him a tour of our history.
As of 1/3/23, Where are Ryan and Michelle? I've wondered about these two for a long time. Hope they are both doing well.
Thank you, I studded my tires a few years ago, but my procedure was much more difficult and not as successful.
Very NIce❤💝💖💗
Eric is the man.

New sub ! Liked
Inspiring! I've been stuck at home because of the pandemic but I'm starting to contemplate a tour. End of summer or early fall. Thanks!
Great stuff!
That's the lead singer from the Butthole Surfers! Cool videos and Michelle is soooo very choice!
My bet is that the guy who said that Michelle is famous mistook her for Jennifer Aniston.
Great
Any long-term results on this plan?
I live in Kansas, yes the wind 💨 always blows. Well when in the hot summer and 100 degree days it does ease up.
I can’t waiiiiiittttttt. Pch this time next year!
ECINEV!!! LOVE IT! 😍. Great trip! I miss those spots! I was just thinking about the Leo Carillo bike in campsite the other day and then I came across your video! 🙂🚲

Cool wish I still had this in me for now i just wish to give out my bike my legs really pain now and riding isn't easy am placing my bike on a give away
Dang, I wish these two still put out cycling videos....
Do you know the rear axle length of this bike?
This was more about the video than actually studding your own bike tires.
n1 advice - don't tell anyone!! it will give you less motivation to actually do it, because in your head, telling people you're going to do something, is like you've almost done it. this is true with anything relating to telling people you're going to do something. think about it
I would love to do this it’s amazing
So you're not going to have your tires leak air
She is way too hot for him. He looks like just came out from dumpter diving at the local bike shop.
Always fun to watch this video.
Great information. Thank you.
Nice video. I'm just about to post my own version of this and it turned out very different. The last advice is definitely my favourite. You simply shouldn't worry or overplan. That said, some things are crucial and you've covered them well.
You two are awesome !!
Very happy overall imgs.love/IBicycleBag?なb I'm running two sets along with an Iberia trunk bag and top tube bag. Decent capacity. Exterior seems durable. I don't overload the bags with weight so I haven't had issues with broken clips or tear-aways.
Thx but u forgot bring along a hot girlfriend and most important be a white person .... Keep it real
Great review
Another dumb Supremacist Feminist LOL
Bicycle routes on goggle map, Dont tell you roads are closed. Twice in 2 days on my bucketlist adventures tour on a bicycle this past summer.
I've been doin this since the late 80s. I'd do up a 26x2.35 and put a 26x1.9 slick inside for a liner. Best to cut the sidewall and bead away from the slick. It's a tight fit sometimes requires cutting the slick to fit inside the 2.35. In this case I'd use heavy duty gasket maker silicone to join the slick tire back together inside the 26x2.35 so no screws cut the tube.

Really good, basic information. Given your bicycle and load, the basic enemies to travel are grade, wind, cash and weakness. Only cash and weakness are under you control (to the extent they are), more or less in that order. Math people can see the variables, but note that a cheaper, heavier bicycle may mean more overnights on your trip spent in a motel with a pool and a kitchenette, given the same initial cash. Prolly, route specific, ultimately. Plus weather. For bike campers, don't invite trouble. That's not to say trouble is your fault, but it pays to be smart about it. Additionally, firearms and ammo are heavy and expensive, and if, for some strange reason, you want to ride into the Fascist "duty-to-retreat" bizarre world, you must take your legal, as well as mortal, jeopardy into account. Google execs, and other fascists, will chopper in, the armed mercs hover above the fun venue.
Decided in 2021, I'm biking from here (Kitchener Ontario, Canada) to Las Vegas. Plan is to be in Vegas for my 53rd birthday. It's going to be a HUGE task, but one I'm looking forward to, too much, to let the 80 gazillion miles worry me... too much.
