Dynamo Jenny Podcast - Diana Sacks

Спорт

Before heading out on her first bike tour, a 200-mile section of the Baja Divide, Diana Sacks admits that she had very little experience on a bike. She didn’t own a bicycle and didn’t particularly want one. But one thing led to another and within a short period of time, she not only had a bike but was using it to bikepack the sandy, rocky, remote, and stunningly beautiful Baja Divide.
Along the route, Diana struggled with an overwhelming feeling of failure and the physical discomfort of sitting in the saddle for so long. She even developed palsy in her hands to the point that she couldn't put her hair in a ponytail. Despite it all, Diana fell in love with bikepacking. She says there’s something about the act of riding and pushing herself that gives her a feeling like none other, as though she’s an explorer or an astronaut, discovering new places and new things about herself.
