I've always had a passion for building things out of steel. This channel helps motivate me to bring the designs floating around my head to real life. I also have an obsession with pulse jets, so you'll probably see of them and pulse jet powered vehicles.

Without that condenser will the spark not pulse, because I have the same setup but without the condenser and it will only spark if I tap the negative wire coming from the battery and I want it to always be pulsing so is that the condenser issue?
Yes, you need that condenser
@@BuildNStuff sweet thanks
Hi just want to find out my relay is getting hot then cuts spark off any ideas followed all steps
How long are you running it for?
Why does the relay heats up and the circuit breaks?
Fill with water and empty to ensure no residual gas.
Now show how to wire it to my forklift.
Open-source community would love if you shared .dxf files.
Hey I just followed your link and purchased the DXF files, I can open it on my phone, but im trying to get plate steel to get the job done next week. Can you tell me what size 1/2” plate to get to cut everything? Thanks!
Thanks! Well, I'm not exactly sure. I'd have to nest them all up in cad to double check. I won't be back home till Monday, but am happy to do that then.
Thanks! I’ll just err on the side of caution and assume it’s more material than it probably is and get a plate about 2’x2’
THIS FELLOW IS REALLY GOOD-Highly Skilled and Knowledgeable-----much better videography and commentary that most-I just subscribed. Worth your support.
Wow, thanks!
Système chime
Nice!!
Thanks! It was a fun build.
Can you explain how to do it in a car
Do you mean hook up an ignition coil to run a spark plug in an interior combustion engine?
Black wire pin 85?
Is your wire welder "from the harbor" or the Hobart?
It's a Hobart
@@BuildNStuff i use both and love it
Non si distinguono la posizione dei fili nel inserto nero.
bought my cad files. thank you very much for helping out the diy guys.
Thanks! Let us know how it turns out.
Well I used my plasma table to cut everything. It took a little of clean up work to make it all perfect. Notched my first 2inch .188 wall dom. Worked perfectly. Thanks for the great file and blue prints.
Nice! Glad to hear you like it! Thanks for letting us know
How to remove smell of propane from tank if you're using as a compressor tank: 1) wash tank twice from inside with bleach 2) filled half the tank with water 3) put it on stove on medium heat Boiling vapors will be unbearable for lungs Make sure you're doing this far away from any house 4) When water will be dried out put som oil in it and your tank is ready to be used Paint it Tight some big ass clumps if you wanna use is on high pressure for safety purpose
Nice project, excellent videography. Very clear explanations and your level of competence with your tools and building these is clear. Thanks!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it.
Auto manufacturers pulse the positive instead of the negative in their waste(d) spark management systems for better fuel economy…the high tension spark is attracted to both the positive and negative. So all you do is swap the leads around. This implodes the nitrogen in the atmospheric air and sucks the piston up to Top Dead Center from Bottom Dead Center. Use DC GENERATED NON REGULATED FREQUENCY this is where the MAGIC happens…like the model T Ford had on it. Thanks for this tutorial it helps out greatly! Please do more high voltage set ups in future videos. Thank you!
Awesome, thanks!
I had a model T coil years ago and it got ruined somehow. Had to get a little creative and this works perfect for creating a beast of a spark for my pulse jets.
The lack of likes for your comment gave me the realization that a future with cold fusion & a bright & prosperous future are on the same path of achievement.
Maybe you should post a schematic of your simple circuit???
Am i tripping out or are you switching the positive side of the coil?
I might be, but it works
@BuildNStuff fair enough. I built this after seeing your video for fun and I switched the negative side like in a car. I'm a mechanic by trade. I turn it on and it scares the kids lol
🤣🤣 That's awesome.
Can you explain how it could be done in a car
Good jobs
Instead of blowing it out with air, you could fill the tank with water. Then you know 100% of propane is gone.
Yes, certainly! I have done that in the past.
Nice build!
Thank you. That was a fun one
How much psi is safe for the smaller brown tank?? I try not to go over 130 on mine
Propane tanks are rated for a lot more PSI than your air compressor is going to dish out. No need to worry about it just for air.

السلام عليكم
It is not important please give us sketch diagram and measurements
Do you have a dxf for this??
Man I am stoked I found your channel. I love the content.
Awesome Thanks!
I’ve done exactly this and the relay is reluctantly working and getting really warm and no spark through a spark plug ?
Send me a few pictures of your setup [email protected]
Can tis connect to a roller switch to setup spark timing ?
Well, that's how points work. This is simulating the points, but much, much faster.
This ia a well made video, but it would have been even better if a circuit diagram was included. As they say, a diagram is worth more than a thousand words.
This is the first video that steps through exactly the connections for these things. Great work
Thank you. I hope it was clear enough. I feel like sometimes a schematic just isn't good enough
Well presented simple device - I wonder if it would work as an electric fence generator? Good video but for electrical people a simple wiring diagram speaks a thousand words.
Thanks, I suppose it would work for an electric fence generator, but I wonder how well? I thought about just putting up a diagram, but there are other videos out there with those and I saw a ton of people being confused in the comments, so I thought something more visual would be better for most.
maybe use a 12v flasher in series on 12v+ side of coil?
Sir, can we use it as a Fish stunner...??
No idea really?
Could you increase the voltage to the coil to get a hotter more powerful spark? Maybe 20v?
Yes I believe so
'PromoSM'
do you still have those cad files?
rorty.net/product/tube-bender-3/
Nice project. I have a technical question. It’s anything you did before soldering to avoid an explosion? Thank.
Thanks! Just take the valve out and blow it out with air at least. If you want more peace of mind fill it with water and then dump it out.
@@BuildNStuff Thank you so much from sunrise Fl.
Hola amigo. Quisiera que por favor me ayudarás con algún tipo de planos para poder construir una. Muchas gracias por tu atención... Exitos
This is where I got the plans rorty.net/product/tube-bender-3/
estoy buscando medidas y al igual no encuentro... saludos
Sweet builds!!
Thank you sir!
Condenser goes to the negative side of a coil just as it would on a Car.
Works well the way I've got it here.
@@BuildNStuff I cant say much because I dont know the rest of how its wired. If a coil has its poles swapped around it looses about 30 % of its spark & these tip of the spark plug runs colder making starting harder .I have a drawing of how to build one on my pulse jet engine sight.
Although the condenser may be backwards, the ignition coil itself is wired correctly. This is how I wrote it down 15+ years ago and the few I've made this way have worked well. A condenser is most likely a non-polarized capacitor and if that is the case, it is irrelevant how you hook it up.
Can you explain how to do it in a car
Nicely done! Can't wait to see what that goes too!! Hehe
You and me both!
hi would you sell your cad 1/2" plates and possibly the rod as a kit...tried to find your contact info but to no avail
I don't think I'll be selling any sort of kit, but I am working on setting up how I can sell the plans right now.
I compiled the CAD files and build notes here: payhip.com/b/kzV9P
Do you have any drawings or dimensions of parts for your bender I'd love to build one
Is that 85 lbs (Pounds) thrust ?
Yeah, I measured it around 85# if I remember right.
No crash helmet
Another great video, I see lots of fun builds with that!!
