I have a Samsung MVMe SSD 2230 gen 3 and my iPhone 15 pro does not see it. Any suggestions?

Assuming you are using a format that the phone understands, it sounds like the SSD needs more power than the phone can supply. You may have to use a powered dock or hub.

Hi. I doubt that the internally will be slowed down on these flagship phones. Don't forget, these speeds are only what the USB interface is doing, which is disappointing as the internal (UFS) storage will be a lot faster than what these speeds are. Cheers, Dave.

The outdoor antenna will lose signal because of the length. That’s why you have high ping. An amplifier would do great job.

Got a UGreen hub thinking wow, HDMI out? Multiple USB ports? That will be great for my phone! I don't know if it's user error or not. But it just does not work, I've tried different monitors, different cables. I am thinking it might be the hub, but I have no clue why it would treat it any different to that C to HDMI cable. Had me puzzled all day now. It doesn't even work when I connect a fast charger. 😅 Will be ordering the cable you mentioned to see if it works. Worth having around for the future if nothing else.

I have both 10th gen and air 5, I would say funny enough I use my 10 more than I do my iPad Air just for the simple fact the aftermarket pencil works better than my expensive apple pen. I’m pretty convinced at this point you only purchase it for the brand and not the functionality.

Buddy I'm in an urgent need, i installed chrome os in my dell laptop and now i want to go back to tiny 11 or any other windows but at the same time i need my old data which were in my D and E drive which are still there in chrome OS but i dont know if it is in different partition or not. In my boot windows i can only see one drive with 900 gbs. So how can i go back without lossing that. Im fine to lose data in C drive but all the other stuff i need it. My college work is all in it

A very good presentation, BUT maybe I missed the part where you explained the difference between your real world numbers (bravo) and the 40Gbsec printed on the enclosure cover. On what planet is that available? that would be 5GB/sec if I understand the nomenclature (Gbs and GBs) and it’s still 2GBs slower than advertised.

Just to let you know there is a difference between thunderbolt 4 and usb 3.2 gen 1 and usb gen 2x2. You should redo this test with the standard usb c that came with the ssd, which is rated for gen 2x2(20gbps) thunderbolt 4(usb 4 '40gbps') does not support gen 3.2 usb because of intels chip set

No need to re-test, the Samsung can't go above 5Gb/s, so the cable doesn't matter. Plus I already done the test with standard cables anyway. Bottom line, the S23 Ultra and the S24 Ultra are massively limited by their USB bus speed.

Only from 3rd party app, not form the built in Apple apps. It’s a stupid OS restriction that Apple have put into iOS. The WWDC event is later today, maybe we see that Apple have finally made the file management system better in iOS. Cheers, Dave.
