Over a decade ago, Danielle's journey as the Magpie Whisperer began when she first discovered her fascination for these intelligent birds.
Danielle finds solace in the company of birds and often prefers their company to that of people. This preference stems from the fact that animals, unlike people, do not judge or criticise. Danielle has expressed that being around people causes feelings of anxiety or discomfort, feelings she does not experience in the presence of animals. Birds have become not only a source of joy but also a vital source of emotional support for Danielle.
In addition to raising awareness, Danielle's fascination with magpies also motivated her to become a licensed wildlife carer. She was determined to repay these birds for all the countless ways they help her.

A good few years ago now, I was being visited by 2 magpies occasionally and I'd cut up some very small pieces of fresh meat and put them outside for them. I only saw them every few days, until they bought their offspring around and it became more frequent. I never tried to approach them as they seemed to be a bit wary of me. Eventually mum hopped inside one day and looked at me as if to say "Ok, I trust you now. Have you got any more?" Neither the 'baby' nor the dad would stay inside at all, just take my offerings and go outside again. Mum became more and more curious and came far enough inside to see exactly where I was getting the food from. After a few months they stopped visiting and I miss them very much. Watching your videos and the great rapport you have with your feathered friends has been wonderful, thank you.
I love magpies. Have never ever been swooped on by them.
Oh my goodness ! ( I'm glad my name is Maggie )😁 they are awesome
My local Magpies are awesome. They are so friendly, they will come to my doorstep and sing if I am home for some peanuts.
They sound robotic

Really nice video
The magpies are so cute 😍🥰🎶🐦⬛
The young one in the foreground is pulling a bit of a dumb ass face. Very cute expression, and so trusting.
Aww, how sweet. Their music stinks 😅
Me and my bros be like:
Amei, que gracinhas, lindos e brincalhões, bem mansinhos, 👍👏👏👏👏💋💋💋🥰🥰🥰😍😙😙🤗 São inteligentes e tagarelas, até "planta bananeira", 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰
In Spain magpies sing on a different way, I prefer the sing of australian ones but the way of dressing of europeans ones is much smarter.
This is what silence sounds like at 3pm in the arvo
All magies come to the yard when I play this ❤ tysm ❤ 🐦
Everytime I watch this video I'm laughing my ass off. So funny! 😆

Saves so much more energy standing on one leg! 😉
❤fantastic❤
My male cockatiel loves watching the magpies outside. Gets excited every time he hears them.
So these Magpies are apparently in Tasmania which is an island that is unable to be considered weird, its just lower.
Love this ❤
Yes, magpies enjoy hanging upside down from the wash, but are they ticklish?? 😂
Boots makes me smile big! What a funny bird! He really likes that water!
Probably has seen a bat for the first time.
Sounds like a REALLY BAD Mic 🎤 Lol!
Little larrickans, mate. 😊
Прелесть❤
It's so cute how he starts rolling around on the floor with it, and then one of the older magpies pulls him with his beak, as if to say "stop being so silly! Stand up!".
I have a family mum dad and junior but they only whistle in the tree outback not on my railing you so lucky 😊
As an Aussie, I have a family of magpies visit me 3 times a day, usually up to 6 birds, love them, they are fantastic, humorous and an intelligent bird.
eyyyyy is the three amigos
Noises from baby magies are the best! This season first started coming with dad daily. Then couple times a day. Then mum and dad daily . Then mum dad and sibling . Then all 4 , breakfast lunch and dinner. Then after about 3 or 4 months from the start they all disappeared. Guess the babies were old enough to fend for themselves!😊😊❤❤

Maggie's are great mimics. The babies are very curious and will come right up to you. They are very independent birds and can survive anywhere, and they are fussy eaters too (won't eat old bread etc). I luv the sound of Maggie's in the morning in my lovely country of Oz :)
I adore these birds, wish they lived here in uk. Maybe if I record their call the local blackbirds will copy.
Honey for the ears indeed 😲
So the magpies in your videos are wild, not clipped/pets?
It's not always friendly. Sometimes it's to defend teritory. Yesterday I saw a nasty male Magpie warn a big white Cockatoo with Magie sing, to get out of his territory. Cock gav we him that artigant, challenging Aussie 'Come on big boy, you make me, eh...' Next minute there's dreadful screeching, feathers flying. Then cop car and Ambulance went by, sirens blasting and a woman yelled 'WTF is going on in this country? They should all get back to wherever they came from, not here...'
Absolutely amazing, and fascinating creatures! 🥰
If there is another bird species with as much FOMO as magpies, I've yet to encounter one.
Clicked to see *what* was hanging off their bodies. (Feathers. Just feathers.) A little sad it's not what it looked like...😂
Have you added more sounds to the video?
don't worry in the beta release their sound will be fixed
