    Those bloody fzr1000 and 750 engines make some shit sounds!! It’s all because Yamaha were too slack to put a alternator / starter chain tensioner in there. Other manufacturers do it Kawasaki and Honda Suzuki have the best idea. IMO in they dive the alternator off the clutch basket on some model( RF 900) and the starter is next door set of gears and a sprag clutch simple this gives them a nice 6 brg crank with out all the piss on if another chain buried deep and in yamahas case a noisey bastard Glad they sorted it on the R ones!?

    You’re better off fitting some tubes to the adaptors and plug them and leave them fitted for future use, this set up is fitted as standard to some of the Thunderaces and is far less fiddly to use with the carbs fitted.

  • @rapidstu01
    @rapidstu01 Жыл бұрын

    I have a set of tubes that came with my old vacuum gauges, they are easier to fit but do not have barbs like the ones I have used. I prefer the barbs so the plugs can't work loose. But it is an option I should have mentioned. Thanks for mentioning it 👍

    @@rapidstu01 most definitely, I mostly emphasize on distance, straight line when it's curved, curved when it's straight. No wasted movement, is the goal. Not fancy, but effective. Trapping is a form of jiu jitsu with strikes, - but nr1, it has to work in real life scenarios. Because usually it is just two or three strikes in the streets, or sucker's get sucker punched,no honor just pure form of human behavior,.. Therefor I salute you my friend for preparing your girl for real life, she'll understand the meaning of it someday, but hopefully not if you know what I mean.

    Hi, yes I have total seal rings. They came with the cosworth pistons, my gaps from memory were nearly 0.5!! I questioned this with the company that did the rebore's etc, they said it is normal on forged pistons as they expand more than the original items. They build race engines and have a good reputation so iv just carried on. I did position the rings with the gaps as per the instructions tho. Just doing the vale clearances now. I hope you're build goes smoothly. Regards Stuart
