May she and her crew ... rest in peace... the ship and crew went above the call of duty ....., she fought hard. A fine example of a ship and crew of the US Navy. She and her crew rest near the Johnston... a fitting tribute. After Enterprise.... the mention of these two ships always pulls on my heart. May the US Navy always remember and commission ships with these names. The crews and the ships earned it.

Smaller wreckage, over a larger area, in more pieces, and many of those pieces drifted away from the original crash site. There are also no survivors or witnesses to give an estimate of the location.

But I can guarantee you that someone in the US government at say the NSA or OSR have the pin point place of were it went down but they are not going to share with the world the sort of capabilities to US intelligence services really have

I really can’t stand this guy. I see straight through him. James Cameron beat him to the challenger deep though 😘 and I don’t like that liberal goof either. There’s really not any type of innovation that’s happened here. They’ve known how to go that deep for a long time now. You need a titanium sphere with a life support system inside wnd syntactic foam to offset the weight. That’s really essentially all. lol simple engineering. This guy just needs validation. Someone tell Him he’s the greatest explorer of all time before he has a nervous breakdown. All of these rich old men are really horrible people. They put on a front like they’re such nice guys and doing this to push forward humanity and innovate. In reality they’re the biggest narcissists on planet earth and want recognition. I don’t even want to know what’s in this man’s closet. Nobody on earth but you is going to go through all of that trouble to get their sub classed either. I don’t blame James Cameron at all for not classing. His sub was still better than yours.

First, hats off to all three vehicles that have reached the challenger deep. Triest, Deep sea Challenger and the DSV Limiting factor. Although the first two are incredible they were only there once. The Limiting factor has both been there multiple times and has dove at all the other deepest point in each ocean. There difference is in its repeatability. This sub can go there over and over and over again. Amazing to make something that can endure that harsh environment repeatedly.

My wife's father was a gunnery officer on the Gambier Bay. He survived the sinking and spent a few days in a raft. The more I read about the battle, the more impressed I am by the heroism and sheer guts of these sailors. A good read is, "The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors", by James Hornfischer.

Someone had to force Japan to use us reserve currency and build Toyotas for us and use Saudi oil as payment. That access to unlimited fiat currency creation power is being transferred from USA to Russia. This expedition is a last ditch effort to expand on some useful data before things go to pot .
