I'm sorry but original early soft machine material like this does not work with an electric guitarist like John Etheridge. His harsh tone and notes per minute approach make it close to unlistenable for me.

Indeed the interviewer ruins Steve’s given time to express himself… Steve brains and mind seem to go on to very profound thoughts but unfortunately gets interrupted continuously. Oh well probably Steve’s life story anyway…

Even as a youth in the Pistols he always put a lot into his vocal and stage performance. Listening to the Pistols Live at the '76 Club; I'm constantly amazed how the myth of their inability to play persisted (being on a tour to "Nowhere" probably didn't help). Though, compared to so many of their popular contemporaries, they did sound, and act, like a car crash :D I appreciate the artistry of PiL, but just don't feel much. "This is Not a Love Song" is objectively a very good pop song. Thanks for sharing :)

The originals were in their twenties, the band in this video are in the fifties and seventies. I reckon if all the original members were still playing even they wouldn't have the same energy as when in their twenties! But the musicality of the present band is fab.

They said they were recording an album of cover versions. They did this, Ruby Tuesday, Bluebird and Girl from the North Country, all here on my channel. This is the most watched, and judging by some of the comments, not to everyone's taste. They didn't finish the album, which is not really a surprise

@@Velaya818 There are grounded scientific medical/psychological reasons 24 of the major medical institutions subscribe to the gender affirming model. Trans and suicide is certainly connect but when corrected with familia support and the gender affirming model. The statically analysis reveal no outsized suicide risks compared to others within a group. This is a golden age of addressing people who fall outside the binary conformity. The screening process for surgery and the gender affirming protocol is the literal envy of all surgical outcomes. Please name one with better statistic outcome. Please help save lives and families from pain. Stop this. God bless

Anthony Newley….. 25:20 Obviously Hackett doesn’t know about his influence on Bowie and neither did I. I thought this interview challenged Hackett and is all the better for it, even if it drifts off a bit. I never heard him speak and am still surprised how Voyage of an Acolyte still resonates. So what if Genesis lost their singer and their drummer; and what if their final tour was embarking? Hackett’s quote about going into Crimea sounds more pertinent these days. Hope he continues to explore what his genius suggests. Peter Gabriel’s current output sounds good.

The full Genesis cast (9including Gabriel and Hackett) was amazing. When you take our Gabriel’s unique voice and Hackett’s magical guitar, it’s not as good. On the other hand Peter’s and Steve’s solo efforts aren’t as good either. Phil Collins sold a lot of records, but I’m not fond of his pop music. There is nothing that compares to the music they made when five of them were together.
