Posts and ramblings of a retired redneck. I will attempt to log interesting stuff that I encounter as I start my retired life. I hunt, Fish and do general handy work. Anything I post here is the red neck way of doing it and not suggested advice or statement of expertise. These just show how I live my way here in Oklahoma. I truly embrace my redneckism and understand my differences are what make us all alike. follow along as I screw stuff up and try to enjoy my retirement.

Really cool! Hope you do more videos
Nice fishing thanks for sharing! You been fishing out there recently?
Any big stripes on that lake?
What is the name of the color of the paddle tails with the speckles and size ?
Such a great idea. I watched several different designs and like this the most - pump sucking in filtered water so it should last longer, output sprays add aeration.
Great video. I to live on the lake on the east side over by Marietta and I’m trying to learn this Striper fishing thing. I usually jugline fish but have built a splasher prop on my channel and want to learn more. Maybe we can get together and do a collaboration video for both channels. I would love to learn a thing more. This video was fun. Thanks and keep running videos.
Great job!
Never mind I see where you got it
Where you get the tank?
Your favorite color or the stripers favorite color lol😂
Good idea on the extension cord Did you do anything special to get the bilge pump to pump for the bait tank I had set up the same thing but couldn’t get it to pump to fill or drain the gray line bait tank maybe air lock? I go to Texhoma once a year and don’t live by a lake to go out and try using it whenever I want
Where did you get the tank
Great video! New to OK I hit Texoma 5-6 times last year, still trying to learn the tricks. Really interested in learning how to use a down rigger, maybe a gear and set up video?
Love the videos! Have you tried the new bait tank you built out on the water? Is it big enough to hold bait for a day of striper fishing on texhoma ?
Great vid sir
Thanks
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Your welcome. I'm getting ready to do a whole bait fishing series so stay tune.
If you ever need anyone to take up space on the boat, let me know! Lol
Will do
Next time we head to Texoma I’ll letcha know! Looks like retirement is going well.
going great so far.
Thanks for sharing. We fish on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas...still learning. The tips help.
Its a great lake to fish. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
Awesome hunt!
It was fun. Wish my GoPro had a little more battery. It stopped just before the best encounter. Still learning how to film stuff while stalking animals.
Thats a good deal. Them are now good hogs. Them young'ens eat good. We've been killing the chit out of em out here in Binger Oklahoma. I like the shotgun action. I've been having a good time using a 22 mag. Good luck on future hunts!
Decided on the shotgun after the last hunt and we got in to so many up close. I'm not sure I like it as much as my rifle but it is nice in those tight areas and when we have three of us hunting the same river cover. Thanks for the comment.

Cool video!! Great info shared! 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
I’ve always to fish for stripers on that lake. Had really good luck with a guide on Lake Buchanan. That was years ago. Maybe a can email you for advice. Thx.
Sure you can find me on FB for the fastest response. JayCarla Kitchens.
Nice hack!
Not mine originally but it has worked well for me so I wanted to share. Thanks for the comment.
Enjoying your videos. Looking into getting back into striper fishing and boat ownership again after sitting a lot of years out. What kind of boat do you have rigged up there? Looking for something for room for the family for joy riding but something I can rig up for striper as well. Thanks for the tips.
My main boat is an Avalon Tritoon. I love the tritoon as a family boat. Lots of room to spread out.
Cool video! Thanks for sharing the tips!
Thanks for watching!
Very nice setup! Great striper skills too! How much to sit in an empty seat? Just say when and where. Nice video!
Thanks for the comments. Let me know if your in the Alberta Creek area during the week.
Great video, ever need a fishing buddy let me know.
Thanks
Thank you for sharing...been years since I've been up there. Great help! Look forward to a trip soon.
Let me know if you make it to Texoma
Where did you get your tank?
I bought my tank at BoatID.com
Great job on the filter. I always prefer the pump below the filter material. I’d through a bag of activated charcoal and phosphate remover in there and it will keep the water crystal clean and the bait alive even longer
Great suggestion. I've never had to use the charcoal filter due to the spray bar helping to reduce the ammonia in the water. I need to try it in both of my tanks and see how it works.
I’m going to try it out, also got some lava rocks
What do u mean 3 lines?
Not sure that right I put the umbrella rig three rod lengths behind the boat before I hook them up tot he down rigger.
Great video! My dad and I are headed to Texoma for the first time in over a year and hope to find some topwater and slab fish! Glad to see the fish have been biting!
good luck hope you have a great time.
Good video and nice boat. You make me want to get back up there, it's been awhile.
It's a great lake to fish. If you get a chance to come up give me a shout. I love meeting others on the lake who love to fish.
Great video. I am running lead line but it’s tough to get that deep. What’s the trick?
To get deep either go slower or use a down rigger. I find the rigger to be easier than lead line for knowing exactly what depth you are at.
Amazing Video! Thank you for taking the time to show us how its done!
Thanks. Now that I'm retired I'll try to keep them up this summer.
