Here I share my experiences traveling to all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
I will be retiring to Mexico in a few short years, so I will add content when traveling and planning for that.
Learning how to be a "KZreadr" is not easy and my struggle is real. So I'll add content dealing with that too.
How I got my channel's name:
I needed a new hobby after shoulder surgery ended my golfing addiction. I had always enjoyed all-inclusive resorts and back then KZread was only kids pointing a phone at themselves. I decided I could do better and in late 2019 I started this new hobby.
Needing a camera I got a used GoPro Hero6 off eBay. When UPS delivered it my wife was on a FaceTime call with our oldest grandson, 6 years old at the time. I unboxed it and showed it to him - he got real close to his screen and said in wide eyed wondrous amazement - "Papaw got a GoPro!!!"

Most often I use my GoPro Handler because it floats and simplicity is best at a beach resort. When I’m doing an extended recording session I will use my GoPro Volta powering my Hero12. My extension & tripod option is my PGYTech Mini Tripod grip I modified to work with the Media Mod.

You briefly mentioned the visitax. So did you pay it or not? I’m going in September and I’ve heard they are really cracking down on it.
I have been 3 times since this tax was initiated. I haven’t paid it because the instructions and payment method is unstable. I’m not sure how “they” would be able to crack down.
What a nice looking airport. "New Airport Smell"...LOL. Once the shops are completed it should even nicer. Nice tour. I am like you. I am very picky who I follow on KZread. You are one that I am happy to follow.

That is a beautiful airport. I'm going to fly in there soon. I hate that it isn't more crowded. From Dallas to Mexico this is great!
With a maximum of 12 gates I don’t think this terminal will ever be crowded.
Hi.going to Tequila in a few weeks.is it only the Tequila that as a sports Bar?
Can anyone answer my question please: is there a bar at the beach or we have to go all the way back to Coba to get drinks ?

What happen if you do not pay Visitax? Coz I’m confused some people pay and some don’t but then in the mean timeit say’s mandatory.
@Marilyn: It is the law to pay Visitax, which makes it mandatory, and each person should be taking it upon themselves to go online to pay it. That said, it is also the law to wear your seatbelt in the car, which makes it also mandatory. Does each person wear it? No. Does each person pay the visitax? No. I haven't paid it. Because the system has no repercussions yet, it is supposed to be tied to your passport somehow in the future, I will continue to "forget" to pay it.

It is some nice architecture. They will need more seating at the gates. But I do fear the future. First, it’s only a matter of time before the timeshare crooks and taxi mafia get their claws in and the arrival area gets blocked off. Then we’ll have to run a gauntlet of them to get to the outside. Next, There’s a maximum of 12 gates. It won’t be long before the prices skyrocket for planes to land, and ticket prices increase accordingly. Finally, my travel time from TQO to the Bahia Principe took right at an hour. 20 minutes of the was grinding traffic in Tulum. This will only get worse. But until all that comes to be the experience is a massive improvement over CUN.

My husband and I are going to Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an in November for our anniversary and I’m trying to figure out which restaurants are the best and especially which one to go to for our anniversary. I think the Don Pablo might be the pick for the anniversary. Because I think it may look better than the Gourmet restaurant at Sian Ka’an. Did you ever eat at the Alux? Also the Tequila Restaurant looks amazing. Definitely gonna try this one.
Thank you for watching! As it happens I’ve recently returned from another stay at my favorite resort of all, Sian Kaan. While there I recorded 3 ala cartes and 2 buffets for a new evening meal video.
I’ve eaten at Alex a total of 4 times, twice it was wonderful and twice it was not good at all. DO NOT order the lobster. The beef fillet was great. The one that replaced Arlequin was terrific. Don Pablo was perfect again. You’ve plenty of time to decide and please understand the restaurants can have an off night. Don’t let the enjoyment of your celebration hinge on a dinner.

I was recording with my GoPro. Employee there said I couldn’t.
Any ATMs at the airport yet?
Don’t know. I only use ATMs that are on a bank property.

The RIU Tequila is across the street from the beach. It would be a 15-20 minutes walk. A golf cart is continually running for your to ride. Middle to late morning there is quite a crowd waiting their turn to ride to the beach.

Lovely place, how was the water in the pools, was it warm or very cold, we have been experiencing many resorts with very cold pools, not wanting to go in if its too cold and i love to swim its one of my favourite things to do when travelling, we are retired as well but will now only go to a place where the pools are comfortable not an ice bath. We went to the Majestic in December in Punta Cana and loved it gorgeous place, but the pools were soo cold, i was shivering. lol. Just subscribed. My husband had two knees replaced at the same time 3 years ago. Happy your walking well and it worked for you.
In the winter months pools are colder, in the summer months pools are warmer.
Came up with similar version after watching this video. Used a small cheese plate from Smallrig, triple sided cold shoe adapter and the adapter you displayed attached to the video mod. All bought in Amazon. I wish i could attach picture. Thank you! AP
Do you have to fill out any immigration forms before you traveled or at the airport? I'm going in November and want to be prepared
This may depend on from where you are traveling. I am from the US and am not required to fill out any forms for immigration. I only present my passport. If I have nothing to declare at Customs, no forms there either.

It changes day to day.2 days before I got the drone shots there was a lot.
@@papawgotagoproJune 2018, just as the rainy season started. There was a TONNE of sea weed. You couldn’t find a spot where there wasn’t any.
Last year december was my 20th trip, cancun, transfer to akumal drove down that damn highway lol. I saw the train almost being completed and i knew this airport was coming. I'm hopeful this year ill be avoiding cancun and the highway finally!!!! Thanks for the video this is just awesome for everyone who is a tourist or a local !
Looks all redone since i was there about 10 years ago, will be back at Siaan Kaan this time in a few weeks i will definitely check it out looks much better in some areas now

Hi Sir we're leaving tomorrow and our hotel is an hour drive, I think we have hotel shuttle, what do you mean by prebook the shuttle do I need to call the hotel now even if Im in Canada? Thank you for your response..
Few hotels or resorts provide shuttle service. If you haven’t scheduled that already then you may have a problem. If you get this message, and you don’t have verified hotel transfer, get online to Entertainment Plus and book USA Transfer there if you can. Please don’t arrive at Cancun Airport without a transfer scheduled.

What does 180 days mean for egate
Canada and USA passport holders are automatically granted a tourist visa valid for 180 days.
Do you have footage of what rental car agencies are in the airport? I'm traveling there in June.
Transfer companies working Tulum are being added every week. They’re constantly increasing.

How much did you pay for transportation from the airport to the hotel?
The prices have gone up considerably. Three post pandemic trips (this one February 2023) our cost with USA Transfers or 2 was US$135. Now that is $199.
No bargain for 1 litre Grey Goose sold at LCBO (Ontario Canada) Grey Goose Vodka. $83.45CDN LCBO#:. 417196 VERSES $82.00US.
At Costco today that 1.75 liter bottle was US$42.
Thank you for a helpful video! I leave for Cancun this coming Wednesday and I have never been to Mexico before. I have uploaded my Canadian Passport to the Mexican Immigration website, is that all that I have to do now until I arrive at Cancun and use the e-Gate? Will that piece of paper you get be the FMMd document that I will need to leave the country after the trip, or do I will need to download it from the Website a few days after I have arrived? Any insight you can provide on that would be super and greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
Thank you for watching. Which website did you upload your info? Hopefully it isn’t a scam site. There is no need to pre-register anymore. US & Canada passport holders just show up. Keep that slip of paper if you go through the E-Gates & present to the airline person when you check your bags on the way home. Since Cancun Airport stopped requiring the FMM I haven’t done anything other than what my airline told me to do.

Does the shuttle between terminals come by often? Or, can I walk from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4?
One could walk it, but it’d be a very sweaty situation. I’ve never needed to travel between terminals. But others I trust say the shuttle bus is regular and reliable. Search the Cancun TripAdvisor firms to be certain. I d know that taxis will rip you off on the 3 minute trip.

Cost was in-line with Cancun transfer costs. It’s still an evolving situation.
Do the resorts not provide transport?
Not usually.

I did see a sign about a VIP Lounge. I know nothing else about it.
