Here is what we did back in March 2023 for our trip to Bahia Akumal in February 2024.......We booked a week and paid the cheapest price for an ocean front villa with NON refundable room and saved about $200 .....Then we booked the United airlines flight from Houston Texas to Cancun Mexico Basic economy NON refundable tickets and saved about $300 .......then we purchased travel insurance that covered our resort and plane flights round trip plus a million dollars towards hospitals ambulance service and getting us home if we die during trip and also covers lost or stolen luggage and many other things for just $298.

We’re staying here in August this year and cannot wait! Usually stay at the Blu Bay Grand Esmeralda however this hotel appears to be much nicer. I just hope the service as as good as the overall look of the hotel

It’s been like 15 years since we’ve been to Blue Bay, so I can’t really directly compare. What do you mean by “service”? All the workers are polite and attentive. If you need something you should have then ask politely and you’ll be accommodated.

We were at blue bay in 2019 and 2021 both times it was lovely however the reviews as of late have been horrendous so we opted for this hotel for a change. By service I was referring to that little bit extra where staff go above and beyond or are super polite and welcoming… it really adds to a stay.

Great video, thank you for putting that together. We are coming here in June 2024 for our 25th wedding anniversary. Loved the dinner table under what looks like a wedding gazebo?

Thanks for watching! You may reserve the extra cost romantic dinner. We’ve never done it but have seen several couples that did. Honestly, none really looked like they were enjoying it. They’re visible and get noticed by everyone walking by. Congratulations on 25 years! For our 25th anniversary we were at Iberostar Paraiso Beach. This coming April will be 39 for us.

I would have love to see the rooms.

We stayed at the Akumal section. I recorded the room there but it didn’t make the cut in the Akumal video.

My family and I are actually going to Grand Bahia next week and i wanted to ask what kind of activities they have and if there is any cliff for cliff diving. Great video BTW.

Thank you for watching! There are various activities happening all day every day. There is is a bulletin board in the walkway to the buffet. Put the MyBahia app on your phone so when you are there you’ll be able to see all. No cliffs anywhere in this area of Mexico. That is in Acapulco I believe.

Hiya, we are staying here from the uk in may this year and cant wait! Great tour!!! Just a quick question, can you remember if there were smoking areas? I know there alot of bans now in mexico, but a couple of our group smoke, so just wondered what its going to be like! Thanks Megan

Yes, each resort has designated smoking areas. Look up Bahia Principe Lovers Mexico Facebook group to learn more.

hello, did you use a 3rd party for airport transfer? did you have access to multiple resorts? was there really a limit on the a la carte reservations?

I do recommend prescheduling a 3rd party transport. I do need to do a new video on who has access to what. When I recorded this we were staying at Luxury Akumal. Check Bahia website for restaurant reservation limits because it could change.

What kind of liquor/beer options?

All the usual mid-shelf brands of booze. Like Bacardi & Canadian Mist. Beer is Dos Equis on tap & in cans.

Hi can I just ask…. Which is better…. The Bahia Grand Tulum or the Grand Sirenis ?

KZreadr ParoDeeJay stayed at both a few years ago and did several videos and compared the two. I’ve never been to Sirenis.
