And keep them out of sun until decents sized roots and spray leaves with mister twice a day and keep in shade.
Thank you because I was wondering what to do next.
will the cuttings produce a tuber at the end of the growing season? thank you for this informative video!
Great little vid. Thanks
Do you need to cover these with a plastic lid? Do they need to be in indirect light and what temperature? I have so many questions😀
Thanks for sharing. I am a hobby beekeeper and want to take this approach to portions of our pasture and have been collecting local wildflower weeds this summer/fall in hope of transforming these areas into a meadow garden for bees and other pollinators. I hope you will continue to update everyone as your orchard continues to become more and more beautiful! God bless you.
Will they flower this season in the same season.. ??
Great video
I didn't know where on the plant to cut it so I took probably 20 different cuttings and I really really hope that some of them actually grow
I just "tried it" three days ago. It's scary at first, dissecting your plant, but I like the concept of free flowers from blooms that I like.
Wenn der Stengel bereits hohl ist, besteht nur eine Chance von höchstens 50% das daraus eine Jungpflanze wird.
I always clean and disinfect my old pots because of disease and fungus transfer.
How to make the aerial root shoot out lateral shoots like yours? Mine has already been in water for months now.
I used to think this is a very difficult job but you explained it very well
Thank you for the informative video! So you don’t use any rooting hormone and it works fine?
It looks lovely, a pity you did not show the after 3 or 4 weeks how the cutting are doing.
Just want to know what happened to these cuttings? Did they all root and survived? Thanks+
I really enjoyed your lovely video. I hope you have been rewarded with even more flowers this year.
Thanks for sharing video friend ❤️ I am new subscriber 👍👍👍👍👍
Is it too late in mid June to propogate and get flowers from it this year? I'm in the United States (Ohio).
Hi, thank you for this video. Why did you plant your cuttings to the side of the container? As I'm typing this, is because you were planting two and leaving room?
Awesome video, thank you so much!
Best dahlia cutting vid!
Thank you for your video!
Genius thank you.
This will be my first big plant propagation 😱 I hope it goes well!
thanks for the tutorial! I experiment with water and soil propagation with my Epipremnum pinnatum i think its the same process to monstera.
Thanks, been trawling through KZread, plenty explain why and the theory but none show you exactly which bits you need to take off!
Yes, I found that when I first started gardening so I try and show what to do as when as why. I hope the video showed it clearly enough. Good luck with you tomato growing!
Hi Richard - glad it helped. Good luck with your toms!
Where can i purchase the white potting tray you use? Sorry not sure what its called :)
Hi Regina. It came with the greenhouse - from a company called Alitex. You can look for alternatives from garden centres and online. They're often called potting shoes.

It's usually called a potting shoe and this one came with my greenhouse. You can buy them elsewhere though and heavy duty green plastic ones are fairly inexpensive. Hope you find one!
Hi there. Any update on these cuttings and if they rooted?
Yes they all rooted and flowered the same season. Trick is not to overwater them whilst they root in case of rot.
Thank you for the video! I've never done dahlias before but I have to do a *lot* this year, so I have so much to learn...
Just give it a try. It's magic when it works and if it doesn't you've not really lost anything. Good luck!
Nice work , keep more videos on garden .
wow nice potato haha
Not the most flattering angle I know!
Just sub GT GT information and update thanks for your time 🌹🌹👍👍👍👍👍
Great vid - thanks. Going to try!
So pleased to hear that. Hope it works for you. Mine are all going strong.
