Slowly trying to get back into it! I'm a multifandom stan and 99.9% of my content is K-pop reactions. Teasers, MVs, Stage Performances and Dance Practices, so long as it's got choreo - I'm probably gonna react to it! If the choreo really catches my eye I'll typically break it down/analyze it following the reaction!

Alright it's me again!!! They had me since the very beginning, like they're too good?? I feel like with each comeback they show us something radically different but they get better and better. I loved Tippy Toes, I was OBSESSED!! Then came Mascara, their first comeback and it turned out to be in my top 10 listened tracks of 2022. The song is so vastly different from Tippy Toes and it might have taken me 3 listens to get her but I was hooked. The choreo is everything and different still from what they showed so far. Their latest comeback is Shooting Star (with bside Left Right) and this is when people started to SEE THEM!! And I'm glad because they deserve to be superstars. The choreos are again, great and the songs are top notch. They're so incredible. But yeah, they're not kpop, they're aiming to be a global group. All the members are Japanese and all their songs are in English! So, yeah Jurin, center, leader, she's very beautiful, such a great dancer. Chisa and Juria are the main vocalists, love their voices. Hinata (the blonde one) also is a great dancer and has great expressions. Maya is one of my personal favourite dancers, she's the second youngest but she has IT! She shines so much in shooting star and I realised in the cypher they did that she's a very good rapper too. Cococa and Harvey (Harvey is half Australian) are our resident rappers, they're badass I love them! Sorry for the long long comment lol Welcome to the ALPHAZ family! Take care!
Hi Tofu! Here a little late, with Easter weekend and all that but I'm here! XG are the real deal, they really are. The first center, one of your standouts, Jurin. She had me with her first line in their debut song. Something about her aura, her charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent?? Immadiate bias 😭 The second one you pointed out is Cocona and yes she's the maknae!! Very very talented. I love these girls, I feel like they can make it big! I'm onto the next video!

Yes, Jurin was literally a model in Japan representing a few brands. She was also a pro snowboarder! No joke, her parents were avid snowboarders. Now she's in XG. She's only 20 years old!

Exactly the same thoughts when I first saw move1 and move3. They are really professional dance crew level. And after their individual dance performances and move4. I have the personal same standouts with Jurin my no.1 and Cocona my no.2 with their dance technicality and musicality. And totally true the gap between them are so so small, it’s almost like a personal preference. Jurin’s freestyle streetdance/hiphop piece is just totally my style with so much groove sass and swag and it looks effortless, Cocona’s hiphop is very unique which I dig, so cool. But each member deserve credit. I haven’t seen any other girl group like the level of XG. Even better their music direction 90s hiphop and RnB is the direction I totally dig and completely my personal taste. Also the 7 members blend so well together, it’s just a perfect harmony.

Lo que mas me impresionó, es que es un grupo "grande", generalmente no me llaman la atencion grupos de mas de 4 integrantes, porque siempre hay 2 o 3 que se destacan y las demas no tanto, pero XG, aun ni siquiera puedo elegir mi bias, cuando veo sus videos no se a quien voltear a ver, porque todas tienen un brillo unico y una presencia escenica ESPECTACULAR, mejor que muchos grupos de kpop que llevan años en la industria. What I said about putting in the work - their transitions from formation to formation is so seamless... and they never check look at their feeet or look around to see where the other members are to stay in formation. That takes hours and hours of practice - as a group - to build up that confidence and trust in yourself and each other. Only when you have that can you work on eye contact and face. They project so well and engage the audience because they don't have to think about their dancing.

Nobody does it like XG. Literally. Your reaction is 100% warranted - and pretty much the same as everyone else's. This was pre-debut! Anyone who saw this before they debuted was incredibly hyped, and rightly so. And, because they have demonstrated that they can d a n c e - they are attracting some of the most innovative and creative choreographers. The choreographers give them things that they couldn't do with other groups. I don't dance, but I can recognize talent, and I know that they put in the work. They don't call a choreo ready until they can do it in their sleep - watch their dance practices and see how comfortable they are and how much fun their having. It is literally unreal.
