  @Lemandi Salon. I have a question? Did you custom make the color or did you use a particular brand? I'm asking because my stylist/colorist is having a problem finding this copper color. She used to use Matrix, but she said they discontinued that color.

  Yes I did. This is Pravana brand. The colors I used is the video but I also intensified it with the Pravana Vivids in Orange.

  I used Pravana. The exact color is listed in the video. I also used Pravana Vivids in orange to intensify the copper.

  Did you have to lift the hair because it was so dark and the rest was many shades lighter? Would you get a similar result if you used a permanent color with a higher developer on the growth since it was virgin? Or would it have looked uneven? I always struggle with figuring out if I should lighten or use perm with higher developer first

  Thank you. Deciding on using color with a high developer or lightener depends on the desired and canvas levels. So in this case because her natural is darker lightening would be best also she has previous color from another stylist too. So using lightener will help to make sure there wasn’t any banding because we know color can’t lift color.

  Loved everything about it especially the dimension she now has. I would get lost trying to do a retouch to keep that dimension I need more practice haha TFS🤍🤍

  Yes it takes practice and repetition but you just have to know the foil placement 3you used and also the formula to make sure it’s right when doing retouch. Also make sure you use the same sectioning. 🖤

  Looks great! A suggestion get you some different color foils & place each color under the bowls you are using and use that color foil in the hair that way you want lose you place. Example: lightener bowl/silver foil, lowlight bowl/black foil & color bowl/rose gold foil. That way when you place those foils in the hair you will know what’s in each one. Also the foils that the bowls are sitting on you can even write what’s in each bowl on the foil. You did a great job!

  Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve done that in the past and still get confused because once I get going I tend to zone out so I still end up checking my foils. I usually just use different color brushes or bowls which works for me and is the easiest for me.
