If only i was jus as lucky as u Hoss. I had my frist Bike since the 1st covid check. Then i move back to NM and had to lay her. Now I'd give anything to get my hands on a Harley. My bitch may she R.I.P was an 81 XS1100 custom hard tail Bobber 14" hangers wit all 4 pipes soloed out. No 2-1 4-6 No jus all 4 pipes complete solo and no she did Not sound like a Yamaha

Hey Hippie I wanted to see if you could help me out. I bought my second shovel a few months ago and trying to get her figured out. She’s a 1981 fxs shows 20 lbs oil pressure at the gage but oil in tank just kind of bubbles. Doesn’t flow in the tank like my 82 shovel. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks brother you take care and ride safe.

Yeah man. Shovelheads don't have pressure they have oil flow. I never use a Guage. As long as you have oil returning to the tank, your fine. If it's bubbling it's returning

4k is killer deal but I'd much rather see a hardtail evo build series. I've seen those Power of attorneys screw a lot of Soldiers. I always tell my guys NEVER sign a POA no matter how much you love them.

Been running a 70's shovel chop since the eighties, got a leaf spring for the seat, real comfortable.

@@hippieschoppercorner When I built my chop on a badly designed frame, it was beating me to death. I took a single leaf spring and ground it with a 9in disc grinder until it sprung well under my body weight, bolted it to the frame between the tanks, about 2/3rds extending to the seat. It's been the best setup I've ever had for a rigid frame. I've sprung a tension sprocket under the bottom part of the chain eliminating that harmonic vibration. This on my fourth tubing bender which keeps the tubing from expanding sideways maintaining it's proper shape and stability.

The chrome box on the front of the Springer, is a storage box. I bought a 99 Springer last year. Had the same box. It's a Harley accessory.
