Welcome! This is a collection of 12-step speakers found on cassette tapes donated to me. Since cassette tape is a dead technology, it seems reasonable that I should use my talents as a former radio station engineer to transform them so they can be enjoyed again and keep them from becoming lost.
Please listen to and share as many as you like. Be aware that many of these tapes were recorded by amateurs 30+ years ago. As such there are mike scratches, sneezes and coughs, background hiss and low volume to contend with. Not all of these can be fixed, but I do my best to make them listenable again without removing the history.
If these recordings are helpful to you and would like to make a Seventh Tradition offering, please contact me. Proceeds will go to the Sunset Group of Alcoholics Anonymous in New Hamburg , Ontario Canada.

100 days Honesty was the Key for me
"Always before I looked at it to see what those suckers had done to me. Today, I would look at it to see what those RESENTMENTS are doing to me" THIS was so powerful 🙌 🙌 🙌
Here in AA Mangalore, India we are having a Big Book Study meetings. What better resource than the Joe & Charlie Tapes; for years ago I had participated in the same in Mumbai (Bombay) at my Sponsor's home with other AA members. I am ever indebted to J&C. 🙏
God is so good I relate to these guys so much I was raised Southern Baptist Im over 100 days sober these guys are the best
Is it me or did the audio repeat at like 40 mins?
In 2000 i attended a Big Book Study, conducted by my Sponsor in Mumbai. After the F2F meeting, once a week for several months. After covering Step 5, we were all asked to work the 12 Step Program after finding a Sponsor as guide. The Joe & Charlie Cassette Tapes were so useful then. Even now, when we are conducting a weekly BB Study meeting at the Open Door Group of AA, Mangalore, i need to hear the J&C Tapes again. That's why i landed at this video in KZread.🙏
First Step Stuff for my Sponsor

As an agnostic. I feel like is God is a comedian who create alcoholism to humble alcoholics.

Doctor Silkworth told Bill Wilson that once he had developed the alcoholic mind, he would never be able to safely drink again. This is something that many alcoholics still don't understand when they work Step 1.When somebody admits they are alcoholic. They need to understand that they can never safely drink or use again
🔥
I wish we could go back to the good old days of AA
792 Days sober and going strong. Thanks Bill Wilson!

I love joe and Charlie they have been teaching me so much
You monetized these videos? That seems against the program
Thank you for this big book study. It’s such an important part of understanding the program and how to work it as intended
God Bless Joe and Charlie and those who put these talks here. These guys changed my understanding and experience of the program and my life for over quarter of a century now 🙏
Thank you.
Today im sober for 7days now
Not just any woman financed Columbus - a rich, married woman with a powerful husband. 😅
Thank you this study guide is helping me and my wife tremendously the illness almost killed us our relationship and family so finding a solution has been a god send literally 😭
These guys are wonderful! Thank you, Joe and Charlie!!
Good stuff...A bit sexist at times but thats just their age.
I have never heard Step 4 explained in such a straight forward way. Might need to redo mine at some point!
Thank you Joe and Charlie.
The first drink won't get us drunk, but try doing it without it. The insidious insanity of that first drink.
Ones too many an thousands not enough
Sounds like my experience
My sponsor just recommended this for me. So glad I gave it a shot. Gives the Big Book a new perspective
Modern day bill and bob
Fear, self-pity, resentments, shame, remorse and guilt block God from our thinking and living
