    Its probably a fair trek for a few folk Andrew. I think most people stand at the top and get the photos and don't bother going all the way down the steps lol. You get way better photos of the Castle from the top anyway. The coffee stop at the top looked pretty good but i was heading for the bus so didn't get to try it out. Next time. Cheers Steve 👍

    Thank you for the video - beautiful location - I have subscribed. I'm from the Paisley area, looking for a spot to do another wild camp. I've done 1 solo wild camp back in 2019 in Clyde Muirshiel Country Park away up in the hills behind Lochwinnoch, hoping to do another 1 before the end of Autumn but somewhere different. I take it that you are not allowed to drive your car up the forest roads? I notice you didn't put any butter on your rolls, my goodness that would be too dry for me.

  • @Campingonthewildsidescotland
    @Campingonthewildsidescotland27 күн бұрын

    Thanks for the comment, glad you like the video and hope you find it useful. The Galloway forest park is pretty good for forest roads and have many forest car parks and you can just walk from the car in the the hills, woodlands and forests which are really good down that way. even up to Glencoe or down Glen Etive you can park your car at the side of the road and cap, in saying that not sure what the locals are doing as they have so many people leaving rubbish and partying in that area so probably worth finding somewhere better. I don't carry any butter etc when away wild camping i try just take the necessary things, i am used to cutting back in the luxury items and foods. Hope you manage to get out into the great outdoors and find a spot. Cheers for subscribing. Steve 👍

    Enjoying the videos Steve. That thunder storm on your second day was quite epic. I was up on Bealach Bhernais on my TGOC as it started and managed to get out of the worst of it. It's heavy afternoon rain that's the reason I opt for a fly first pitch tent for TGO's, I can just throw it up and dive underneath until the worst has past. Most things stay dry then.

    Good morning Steve. Wonderful mate, what an adventure this is going to be and what amazing weather you had for your first two days. The scenery is just spectacular and great to see someone arrive at Barrisdale from a different angle. I’ve watched so many CWT videos so nice to see you coming in from another way on this adventure. All the best mate, take care Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏕️

    Hello Dave With my rucksack on it was a tough climb to get to Barrisdale beautiful scenery and the mountains are breathtaking. There was a few people at that camp spot doing the CWT. Thanks for the comment as always its great putting these videos together. Steve 👍
