Hey y'all! We're Lauren and Clint. We've been married since 2016 and we have two pets, one 🐺 - Lilly and one 🐱- Leia. Lauren is originally from East Tennessee and Clint is originally from Kentucky, we met in Florida, but we now live in Nashville, TN. We love visiting new places and trying new things - mostly food! We hope you enjoy our adventures as we explore the US and more, collecting the most epic shot glasses we can find along the way!

Found your channel recently while researching for our upcoming trip to New Orleans! Very helpful & informative - subscribed! 😊
I did this same excursion and loved it! I am trying to make the salsa at home and was wondering if you happened to take a picture of the recipe on the wall?
Yes! I'm not sure the best way to get it to you, but DM us on instagram or email us [email protected] and we'll get it to you!
@@strangetravels awesome! I sent a DM on Instagram. Thank you!
Surely these two are from Kentucky. They pronounce the word "Louisville" perfectly. If you're not from here, that's almost impossible.
Clint is from Kentucky! :)
Great Video guys, you two are diffinitely foodies! Love it!
Thanks so much for watching! :)
Lots of great spots next time come see us as well I think you will love it
Thank you! We definitely will!!
there used to be tunnels from the seelbach to the river (ohio) so Al Capone could secretly come and go and sneak back to Chicago
Yes! So cool!! Thanks for watching :)
No pineapple for your pizza? 😢
Haha no pineapple, at least for me (Lauren)
butchered pronunciation of boudin
So we’ve heard 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry about that, we’ll get it right next time! Thanks for checking out our video!
Another great vlog, guys! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much and thanks for watching! :)
It seems pretty warm there in October , we might try the hike this year
Two weeks before we went, it snowed! It's also about 10-15 degrees cooler at the top. It was mid 40s up there when we went at the end of October.
This is the best review of Louisville I have ever seen. I have seen several. I am a Louisville native and I am so impressed with your video. You have done your homework!! I was so impressed and surprised that you knew the history of the foods and you selected places that have a long standing history or that is particularly novel or specific to Louisville! Good job, with the history , maps, and the inside scoop. You hit a lot of the historical places. Don’t forget the Hot Brown next time. Blue Dog Bakery, Nords Bakery , Jack Fry’s, theatres or concerts at Louisville Palace on 4th street it is beautiful. The Rathskeller at Seelbach Hotel is beautiful and breathtaking architecture. The Cave Hill cemetery is free. Col. Sanders and Muhammad Ali, along with other celebrities were buried here. It is a beautiful cemetery where people come to feed the fish and ducks. Come back and see us!!
Schempff across the bridge has been open for over 100 years that is a cool place too
Sorry you did go to the Brown for a hot brown
Thank you so much! Clint's family is from Louisville so we had the inside scoop a little bit :) But we will definitely have to check out these places you mentioned next time!! Thank you for watching!
Great job y'all!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!!
Oh the Hand Grenade!!! Wanna make it at home? 1oz vodka 1oz white rum 1oz gin 1oz tequila 1/2oz everclear (optional) 1 1/2 melon liquor 2oz pineapple juice 1/2oz passion fruit syrup- SHAKE with ice and strain over slushed ice... garnish with a splash of tequila on top (optional)
This isn't just a good guide for out of town guests. There are a lot, and I mean a lot of us who live in the suburbs who just don't go downtown very often (I usually only go for UofL games) and I think a lot of us don't know what we're missing. You've also got me wanting to visit that Ollie's Trolley. I haven't been to one since before you guys were born and even though I'm a native Louisvillian I still haven't been to Dizzy Whiz yet even though I've heard about it my whole life. I do enjoy a good Hot Brown and wonder if you've ever tried a Hot Brown pizza. There are many local mom and pop pizza places and local chains that offer that variety. I'm biased because Hot Browns are one of my favorite dishes but I think the pizza version is pretty good too. BTW even though the suburbs are filled mostly with national and regional chains you can still find some pretty good local places out here too.
Thank you! Louisville has a lot of hidden gems and it is so easy to miss places like these, in your own “backyard.” Next time we are in Louisville, we will for sure be hunting down a Hot Brown Pizza!! 🤤🤤🤤
If you are every in Owensboro, KY you have to try Burgoo there they use Mutton.
Awesome! I’ve been told we need to check out the BBQ there too!
had fun watching your video ,,, enjoyed thank you
Thank you so much for watching!
You definitely hit all the favorites in my hometown!
That's great! If we missed anything, please let us know because I'm sure we'll be back!! Thank you for watching!
Solo cruising in Oct with RC and I will be booking this tour thanks to your vid! This is what I look for when I travel!! Thanks!
We loved it so much! Whenever we go back, we'll definitely be reaching out to go to different places. Hope you have a great time and thanks for watching!
I love my state
we had such a great time!
@@strangetravels I hope you did
I enjoyed your video. The gnocchi looked delicious! Heading to Florence in August and we’re definitely doing a wine tour. The wine tour you did looks a little pricey compared to a few others. Why did you choose this tour? Was it the possible Safari adventure or did you strictly base it on the wine experience? Any additional restaurant recommendations would be appreciated.
We did it because it visited the most wineries in a day! This was a couple years ago, but when I looked back then, most tours went to two instead of three.
Try leaving the French Quarter; there’s a whole city out there where people other than tourists eat. Also, it’s coffee and chicory and you can get it at every place in the city but Starbucks. No one would drink straight up chicory. I won’t comment on pronunciation-you gotta be from here to get it right. Come visit again. I’ll show you how to actually eat crawfish.
We've been to New Orleans multiple times and gone other places besides the French Quarter! But for this specific video, we wanted to make it about the French Quarter area since that's where most people go :). As for chicory, yes, sorry if it wasn't clear in the video but we know no one would drink straight up chicory haha.
Your Husky is so damn adorable 😍
aw thank you so much!! Thank you for watching!
Nice vlog
Thank you!! And thanks for watching!
Muffuletta from Verti Mart puts Central Grocer to shame. Wife and I tried one from central grocer and half way through, we threw it in the trash and walked to Verti mart to buy what we were really craving.
Verti Mart is special, for sure! I could go for either one right now! 🤣🤣🤣
Boo Dan Balls is how you say it
@@corey26wells Yep, we know that now🤣
Thanks for making this video! Definitely going to be adding these suggestions for my birthday trip to Banff! Can't wait!
Thank you for watching! You are going to have a blast!
No Jacks?
We actually did film there and had plans to continue with another video but decided to scrap it. We also really love Bringles and filmed there. We may re-visit again or feature these in a different video in the future! Thanks for watching!
Hello did you get to see the ROATAN letters? I want a picture there thank you
Yes! It was part of the Island tour.
@@strangetravels thank you very much for answering
Nice to have You touring this tourist trap city As Calgarian I stopped visiting last 5 years . Keep traveling
We enjoyed our time and can't wait to go back! We live in Nashville, a huge tourist destination but still enjoy it :)
Hi! Did you choose the Sloth Experience or Sloth Interaction? I'm trying to decide based on the Royal Caribbean Excursions?
We actually didn't do the Royal Caribbean one so I'm not sure on the differences! At Daniel Johnson, there was only option with the sloths.
Great video next time come try our burgers
Thank you so much for watching! That would be awesome, we'll definitely come next time!!
Great video. Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Awesome post, you’re my new favorite channel! This just jumped up spaces on my bucket list. The food prices seem way better than Disney and less crowded. You were almost all alone in many restaurants.
Aw, thank you so much for watching! Yes, I think due to the weather and some other events in the area, it was not as crowded as usual! I hope you make it to Dollywood! Clint always says it reminds him of Frontierland at MK🤣
Went this weekend and will be going again next weekend! Cant wait to try some of the options you guys mentioned because they’re on my list!
We wanted to try everything!! Sounds like we just missed you. We were there Saturday and it rained most of the morning but then cleared off luckily!
Muh-fah-laa-tah
You guys hit a lot of spots. Great video.. Thanks
Thanks so much and thank you for watching!
If you move to N'awlins and dont gain 20 pounds id be amazed

WHAT FRENCH INFLUENCE DOES YOU HAVE IN JAMBALAYA?, IT'S A BADLY MADE APAELLA, IT HAS NOTHING OF FRENCH COOKING, SO INNOCENT
We love Jambalaya but understand everyone's tastes are different :) Thanks for watching!
Pronounce it with me please..."boo-dan, boo-dan". Not boo-deen, not bowden, not boo-din...it is "boo-dan". Im teasing you. At any rate, you did hit some of the best spots and some not so good. If you ever want some advice on Nola restaurants, Ive eaten at 104 different places now. If you wanna hit me up, I can send you a list of places you should try. Great video!
haha! we definitely won't mispronounce it next time! Hate to hear you say some spots weren't good for you but everyone has different tastes! Thanks so much for watching!
THANK you!
You guys are adorbs! Awesome tour, thank you.
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!!
Acme oyster house is the place to go for raw oysters! A long wait unless you get there early.
We love Acme, too!!
Bloody Marys are the best in Nola, I learned many years ago not to drink hurricanes! Too many in such a short time 🤢
Where is the best Bloody Mary? Clint loves them!
