  I’ve revisited this animatic so many times over the years and to this day it never fails to inspire and move me. Your portrayal of expressions and body language are incredible, and I absolutely adore your take on the characters. Thank you for this incredible work and for inspiring me time and time again; creative and passion-driven projects like this one not only help to keep the source material’s community alive, but motivate young artists to pick up a pencil and create unique and creative projects of their own.   It’s been years since this animation was made but I saw it when it was initially uploaded having no idea what TAZ was, and now I’ve finally gone and listened to it and remembered this animation and wow suddenly it all hits home and it’s also weird to remember when I knew nothing and only liked the art. So thank you for that experience.

  It should be known that this was what introduced me to TAZ. I had no idea what was going on but the characters looked really nice and the emotion was high so I went "well boy oh boy I gotta listen to whatever this is from" and well... It was disorienting to go from this to episode 1 and the chaos of the start. I had no idea how much of a spoiler this animatic was. I had no idea. I spent the whole podcast in a strange limbo between knowing nothing about the story and knowing that Taako's sister Lup exists and was inside the staff. It was an odd existence. But to hear the audio from this finally come up in the podcast after months of listening, it was an extra wave of nostalgia and relief. After finishing this podcast I came back and rewatched this beautiful piece of art. It's been three years since then and I'm still just as obsessed with this podcast. I'm in the process of making a Taako cosplay. I own the comics. I made friends because of our shared obsession with this franchise. I don't know how much this animatic means to you anymore, I know five years can do a lot to how an artist views their work, but it truly means a lot to me. Thank you. <3

  So glad I finally watched this from my huge 'watch later' playlist. I keep replaying it! I love the story picture book style here so much! It adds a lot to how narrative CoS is. Also all the designs are so FUN!!!! I love this

  Okay, late comment but I just have to say it-- I like to think that the reason Justin/Taako can never remember that he has transmutation instead of spell sculpting is because Lup had it.
