  To be fair, thats not that bad of an idea actually. it would also be useful for not only other potential tasers, but also players to some degree. A lot of "micro" strats right now are somewhat inaccessible to pretty much anyone who isnt on the discord or very deep into the game themselves already, and I would also be practicing english talking skills, which is a nice bonus, so i think this is something ill try to get done by this week, since I have a lot of freetime starting thursday.

  Ive seen that somebody is trying to implement scripting (specifically for wii inputs too) into dolphin directly, along with direct value viewing. This would allow for brute forcing of parts of levels. (basically just making a script for the tas to try out every single possible input) this could be really useful for climbing sections. It would for example allow for a nearly definite perfect 1-1 climb, given a good enough script. (even if that might take many hours, all you would have to do is let the script run, and at the end, youll have a savestate with the perfect movement). Ill definitely try that out when its (hopefully soon) implemented. Currently Im not that interested in the game, but more likely than not Il come back to it at some point.

  0:33 I remember one time when I was like 6 or 7 I managed to jump over to the other area, barely making the ledge. I’ve been trying to recreate that jump for the past like 5 months and I still don’t know how I did it when I was younger 💀

  Do you think it's faster to do that jump sequence at the end? I'm wondering because of the downhill slope that you skipped and if you get faster momentum by rolling down the hill. Also DA at the 2nd checkpoint is faster.

  slopes (including these) dont actually change horizontal speed, only vertically. essentially you save one extra roll and save two frames that way.

  What inputs did you use at 1:03 to optimize that grass climbing there? I'm caught up with you on my run until that point and then I drag. Did you use any diagonal input for the grass there?

  Why did you hold yourself back to the left so much at 0:10 (right before the bonus room)? Is that somehow faster than keeping to the right as much as possible?

  the more left you are the earlier you can start holding right and therefor have more speed when passing the wall which keeps you from going forward as far as i remember

  @@shugabrush3671 no cuz none of that speed is carried over. if you start holding right immediately after you pound youll hit a wall before you enter the bonus room. by being far left you can start to hold right earlier to get more speed. if you check the times when i enter the bonus room and when you do youll see the difference pretty clearly

  it is very precise. its also possible to do it faster by not hitting the second spider in that way though i dont remember exactly

  at 0:05 you could've jumped off of the first crab and two more instead of skipping the first crab. That would've saved you a landing.
