Fan's are not cutting ties to the series because of characters spanning "multiple ethnicities" nor did Headland introduce it. It was part of Star Wars if not from the very beginning, than from at least prequels if you count movies alone. Count games and some of the most badass characters were non-white. As per sexuality, noone cared nor was it relevant. Fans are cutting ties to the franchise because the writing is garbage tier show by show and movie by movie. Less in games because gamers get fed up with it and are actively refusing to buy in the DEI influenced titles. Not because there are "non white" characters. Because it means that writing will be garbage tier.

Just think about how life would look like without the goodwill of your parents, friends, employer, landlord etc. Every human being has to learn that lesson at some point. Miss Zegler is learning it the hard way. In particular, an actor without understanding and respect for the source material or the equivalent goodwill of an audience has little prospects for a career.

@@rickbone3906 Carrie-Anne Moss and Lee Jung-jae were pretty big names well Jung-jae maybe not in USA but was still super popular thanks to being in top series of recent years and they were doing pretty well despite working with a script that wasn't that great to say it lightly. Most of the other cast had plenty of chances to play in other projects. The many of the actors whom were placed in pivotal roles without the ability to perform "just to give them a chance to play a big role" as you said yourself was the "politically correct" move mentioned. For example the very Amandla Stenberg was in at least 24 other productions before the Acolyte so her performance wasn't lacking due to missing experience or opportunity. I don't fully agree with the OP or at least how the comment was phrased but it wasn't factually incorrect. Looks like you are working overtime in order to deny reality while trying to paint others as crazy.

If Zegler had kept her mouth shut the only backlash would have been changing the dwarves to magical people and making Snow White (the woman whose skin was white as snow) into a tan-skinned Latina. That would have been fairly simple damage control, especially for Disney. But, instead, Zegler had to insult the original movie (y'know, the movie that STARTED the Disney animated canon) and piss off potential viewers.
