    Safety is of my first priority and I follow safety rules towards others from a bicycle stand point not from a motor vehicles point as they are in another completely different level of dangerousness, you can see in the video how i don't endanger anyone at anytime even more i lower speed and leave space or concede the pass when things get close. I don't say it's a model of riding, in fact this bike was faulty from factory- shitty mechanics is also a different story but explains a lot.

    I used 11-40 Shimano SLX 11 speed cassette with a 105 groupset on my road bike when I went to Gran Canaria for the first time in 2022. I used Sunrace SP570 extender for that. It saved my life on steeper climbs. The shifting became a bit less precise and a bit more "sticky" but it was a good trade off for easier climbing.

Settings where flat color -2 exposure compensation, stabilisation normal and i think i used a particular audio mode for this model that works well: raw audio-non processed option (or something called like that) the fact is that it splits a wav file into 3 mono channels for each mic, the upside mic is the best for windy action, the bad thing is that's 32-bit that's raw unprocessed and i barely got it to sound good with my limited audio knowledge 😅

  • @IsaacRC
    @IsaacRCАй бұрын

    @@igordomingues7870 Yeah this is very hilly too and full of fast traffic, while I'm doing mechanics just now, I can tell you that urban oriented bicycles have been in a kind of a dumb bubble for a while, as long as I can remember in fact, the first wall one hits is precisely with gear group-sets don't cover easy gears to go chilling steep uphills in combination with gears to pedal steep downhills, I use in this gravel bike a hacked Shimano groupset to cover these situations I could detail how you can do it. But even more important for me the brakes need to be strong which this hydraulic Shimano grx 600 is good enough, as third priority i would say the tire "wideness" capacity, now the bike has a 52mm-wide cheap mountain bike tires, as the MTB tire measurements are different than road I had to carve down the knobs because it was touching the frame (it depends on the actual wideness of the wheel mount and the capacity of the frame to make room) but for having stability and freedom of movement (obstacles, bad roads, rain, MTB, etc) i wouldn't look at any gravel that doesn't come with a 45c (45mm) minimum from stock which was the wheels that came with this Megamo bike. Now wheels are another whole discussion but the industry doesn't get much diverse either, but it connects with the final priority and no less important: the geometry, a gravel for me must be a fast and nimble bike, road bike geometry already is like that with a compact geometry but to fit bigger tires some modifications have to be done, so be careful with some trends that simply copy the long-wheel geometry from mountain bikes under the argument "it's a stable bike", unless you're planning on doing some kind of crazy "tokyo drift" on dirt roads that argument is BS rather I find an excuse to sell uncomfortable bikes to noobs hoping they will buy the next expensive model.

    @@ahakuytra5179 You're welcome, in my quest for a good action cam for cycling, I ended collecting 4 cams so far, I realised that when you ride there's some problems that standard action cams can't solve, mainly the fact that when you ride the torso moves in relation of how fast you are pedalling like when one is sprinting the camera ends up looking down ruining the vid, the only way to solve this is with a camera that can record 180 degrees (a fisheye lens) then in post one can always reframe, turns out a fisheye introduces many other advantages like if you noticed super wide field of views are more realistic with speed, looks actually as fast as it was, also better stabilisation as it has more image to crop. But for that a high resolution to crop is needed and that's where Insta360 X3 was failing with really bad compression artefacts but now with the x4 i'd guess they corrected that and can be the perfect cam for cycling, you can always crop as if it where a standard action cam, the insta360 software works perfect, and the raw photos with the X3 are perfect. Well there's plenty of secret tricks i learned with the x3 like using a single lens with Gyroflow, if you need tips feel free to ask anytime

  • @IsaacRC

    Thanks i also got an ahead adapter it fits ok but it's the stem diameter that I got wrong 😆 luckily i bought once a expensive Cinelli stem that came with a metal cilindre to fit normal ahead stems into thiner ahead fork tubes. I don't know today i tightened the nut but felt that the stem was still like percussing inside every time i brake with the front wheel, I might pushed the stem too far down perhaps (the stem tube shape gets thicker approaching the 90 degree bend) but this braking vibration started when I loosened the nut for sure very recently, i can't say yet it's 100% this what caused it because honestly it's a miracle this second hand road bike has stood cyclocross-like smashes for many years so will see, it would be really awesome to put it flying 60 + km/h, only thing is that i have to remember to not ride without hands as the ballbearings are totally crushed there's no free movement and more than once almost went down like a rookie 😆

    Ima 170 so i could be wrong but taller sizes like yours benefits from the 700c wheel size standard, you see the frame sizes indeed change but they put the same wheel size so what i've seen is they push forward the seat post angle (from the bottom bracket) to make room for the wheels in smaller frames, rather i like the seat post balance of a bike to be as much over the rear wheel as possible so what i've seen is that big guys look for smaller sizes but then appears another problem that i recommend you to really watch out that is that the foot doesn't hit the front wheel when turning the handlebars that is kinda dangerous

    @@Huurhunmat Well yeah there's infinite details that matter but if you ask me I use every day bicycle with pretty steep uphills and dangerous heavy traffic so i've had really tuff moments with a bike so when I go to an elite bikeshop to buy they don't understand the needs as a matter of fact the whole industry itself is limited in some engineering aspects to my particular needs, so instead what i'd ask you, first of all, is what's your "ideal" expectations of your next purchase? What is your "ideal" use specifics you want your next bike to fulfil? And in order of priorities like: easy gears for steep uphills or a good looking but discreet design for urban areas etc From there we could translate in engineering language what actually you need and trickle down what boxes are checked or not amongst the product models on the market, that's why "ideal" is so important at the end of the day you can always improve your mechanics like installing better parts, i do it all the time, but the starting point, that is the bike model you decide to buy, will determine not only to fulfil your most important needs, after all the perfect bike doesn't exist, but also the capacity to adapt them or customise them in the future

    Oooh you opened a can of problems friend 😂The short answer is: for this video I disabled internal stabilisation and used the 4K 4:3 in Wide (maximum field of view and resolution possible) also make sure Gopro Labs firmware is not installed then I used Gyroflow software to stabilise it, you will need to make a lens calibration for your max lens but since I already did if you want to test it I can upload it, here the problem starts that you will see small vibrations even when the main stabilisation is technically perfect with Gyroflow because with Gopro 9 is impossible to disable in-camera something called rolling shutter correction, GoPro corrects rolling shutter internally like it corrects stabilisation: it knows the movement of the camera and the lens geometry and corrects the rolling shutter distortion that sensors produce (that is the velocity that a sensor reads lines of pixels from top to bottom) BUT since we want the maximum field of view that is the Wide lens setting the Gopro "thinks" that the geometry of the lens that is has to correct is for Wide but in reality the geometry needed to be taken in account is for Max lens and there's no way of doing that, actually with the GoPro 10 and 11 you have an option using Gopro Labs firmware to disable internal rolling shutter correction altogether but then appears ANOTHER problem that is that the gyro data needed to correct for rolling shutter with Gyroflow software apparently is totally crap, almost unusable, curiously enough the GoPro 9 without the Labs firmware installed does good gyro data... it's like GoPro not wanting to make this possible perhaps? Who knows, anyway if any doubt ask freely BTW nice cycling videos you have bro subscribed! 👍

    @@harisankar1317 Here's the download link, the 01 and 02 LUTs are almost the same but the 03 is darker used in the video for when I entered the forest canopy, remember it will only look as this video if the gopro is set to "flat" color, exposure compensation is 0 and the white balance in auto, also each model has its own color variations this was the 11 model: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ilQF5Q8h4YK4wUZL_fWciIFhUccSee6G?usp=sharing

    Can you link your front light?

  • @IsaacRC
    @IsaacRC4 ай бұрын

    It's the spain amazon link, the us amazon sells it under different brands and also sizes, mine does exactly 15 cm. large and what i liked most, apart from being super bright (it says 10000 not confident how scientific that is), you can see there's a thin strip of LEDs under the main big ones, this is useful when you want to turn off the strong lights (it's really damaging for anyone looking at it) and still have a dim light on, daylight amazon says whatever, it works good if you're gonna share the road : www.amazon.es/dp/B0CJ5C83YB

    Yeah if you stop at 1:17 you can also see the water acting like a convex lens refracting the light and scaling down the image including the circular black foreground, for an instant the water is coating the fisheye lens surface with a thin layer.

    @@IsaacRC have you ever tried with more than two mdiums w different refractive indices to see if theres a compounded effect or multiple?

    @@angelarenee5832 Only water, tried to make a time lapse inside a pot with water but mini air bubbles started appearing right in front of the lens incrementally with time, now that I mention it I should try a video in the beach! 💡
