I have yet to find a tutorial on creating photo-real interior renders without the need to use a window w/a HDRI (Just using interior lights). Example of this would be a dedicated home theater room, cinema etc.

Great timing, thanks guys! Doing this exact same thing (modern interiors with home theater installations). Have been using the RS Portal for the lighting and it's been great. Only issue is when I'm working on the home theater room there are no windows, so I am stuck using only artificial lighting, and it's harder to get it to look as natural as sky light coming in with HDRIs etc.

in blender i have a an alembic animation object, I made a vertex group from the almebic file object. I created an empty with track constrain to track the motion of vertex group. later i added an glb file inside the empty object so the glb object follows the animation. but when i export the project as alembic file the glb object dosent exoprt with animation.

Great tutorial Jonas :-) -- I am attempting this in 2024 and can't seem to get past the 6 min mark where the cloth actually goes into the hole. Are you aware of any changes in the simulation system since 2022 that might be breaking this? Happy to share my file if there's a good place to do so. Thanks again, david.

Regarding Noseman's tip on rendering masks for everything as a safety net, I want to share a tip that might help someone who needs to separately render a mask only. Just use a standard C4D default material, uncheck "color," check "luminance," and set the color to white. Apply that material to whatever object you want to mask. In render settings, select "anti-aliasing" to "best," and finally, in "options," uncheck "default light." Voila! You've got a mask without rendering beauty within seconds!

Sorry if this is obvious, but how are you getting the particles to render in RS? I'm in R2024.4 and don't see any such option, short of attaching geometry to the particles via a cloner.

hey, just a quick question. I have noticed that ever since Maxon aqcuired Redshift, there were NO noteworthy expansions or improvements on the engine itself, and the documentation is a complete wasteland. Did you downscale the development team? Or will the updates and new features arrive when the update cycle of the now discontinued perpetual licenses that are still active come to an end?

Watching the part where you explain triggering an animation at a certain time (18:27) Another way to do this is having the condition set to "less than" and the math assigning the age to zero, then keyframing the chance of the condition from 100% to 0% at the frame where you would like the animation to start.
