Dover Kohl

Dover Kohl

Our team is focused on revitalizing traditional towns, building great new places, growing neighborhoods, and fixing sprawl - by design. We create visions that guide the future of streets, neighborhoods, cities, and regions.

Dover, Kohl & Partners was founded in 1987. Our expertise lies in balancing the visionary ‘civic art’ of planning with the practical consensus building needed to make projects succeed. We are trained in the principles of traditional town planning, and have advanced the techniques for gathering meaningful community input. Dover, Kohl & Partners is best known for public design charrettes, detailed master plans, and illustrative codes that emphasize complete neighborhoods as the basis for sound communities.

    Demanding developers use native plants would be a huge help. No more non-native invasives. No more one little oak tree with a few non-native edge plants. We have great native plants that can be used as a hedge that serve our wildlife at the same time. I sure hope you guys have someone who understands FL native plants on your advisory board

    🤣😂😆😂🤣😂😆Love of Neighbors in LAKE WALES?? The town that STILL has an active KKK Charter? The town with City Council Member & Mayor who are Christian Nationalists? The town that has a Charter School System, that keeps minorities & kids with disabilities OUT? Good One. LW has citizens who love each other. 😆😂🤣😂🤣😆😂🤣😆😂🤣😆🤣 GTFO here with that Marketing BS.

    Hey Dover, Can you please do a video that names towns or neighborhoods that demonstrate 1 or more of your design criteria done "right". I'd like to visit some of them to see what "right" looks like.

    This is how most GTA cities are planned. You can walk anywhere your want as long as you have under a two star rating, or you can drive there too. Your garage should be within five minutes of the local Pay & Spray, or Ammunation.

    When are they going to renovate the Walrsbilt Hotel,it would make great affordable housing for seniors adding to downtown traffic if it isn't going to be a hotel again.

    Capitalism cares only about profit So a city designed only for profit doesn't care about you by design.

    I used to live in a village. The only milk in town was indeed less than five minutes way. For eight hours a day. Then the store was closed. It was also closed on Saturday and Sunday. Dudes, you have no idea what you are talking about. Quality of life is NOT defined by walking distance. It's defined by variety and availability.

    Division is bright for Lake Wales taking consideration that changes hard but the opportunity is there. Open your eyes wide and think out of the box these are the dynamics that are put before us now. In the upcoming years the most difficult steps are going to be made with positive outcome. We must embrace it the future is ours to hold. Much thought and planning has gone into the perspective of regaining a momentum that will benefit all. This is the most inspirational presentation that I have seen thus far of the future of Lake Wales. Good things are on the horizon.❤

    so simple, not true of many cities

  • @lepidoptera9337
    @lepidoptera93374 ай бұрын

    No, it's not that simple. What happens when you need emergency medical service (it's not an if... everybody needs that from time to time) and the next hospital is 30 minutes drive away? That means you won't get to see a doctor for at least an hour... if you are lucky. Urbanists are talking about all the easy stuff like walkways and they never mention the hard stuff like employment, shopping and healthcare.
