I have a question, what will be the tax burden on the local residents for preserving and maintaining all and building all of this?

Lake Wales Envisioned is a constellation of many projects, all of which need study and cost estimating. So there's no overall price tag yet. Also many of the efforts aim at saving the city from costly sprawl, which rarely pays for itself, so that factor will need to be considered with each effort. Plus, many of these efforts are aimed at increasing the resulting cumulative property value, a win-win for citizens and the municipality. For the Green Network, the first thing to realize is that last Nov, County voters approved to tax themselves for land conservation; that's money already programmed to be spent, so the maps show where priority acquisition should occur using that money. It's not a new cost.
