I'm sorry to hear of his passing.😢 It's funny that I named my budgie Joey!! Mine isn't talking as well as yours is but I did manage to teach him to say his name, pretty bird. I try to work with him daily to teach new words but he's stuck on the ones I've taught him.😅

oh you great gorden, but can you please ask yourself a question? but first let me ask you a question: do you have a second budgie that can talk??? 😉The reason why your budgie can talk is because you only have one and that's why he only has you as a reference person. on the one hand it's nice to hear how these wonderful little creatures speak, but on the other hand it shows that the poor little one is far too often alone because unfortunately you can't always be there for him. I don't have to tell you how often this is the case during the day, and how many minutes of loneliness there are, do I? what you are doing is unintentional cruelty to animals. i am sure that you only want the best for your little beeper and i also know that you are a good person because if you are good with animals, you are also good with people because you simply have a big heart. I therefore ask you to get the little one a partner, because he simply does not deserve to have a life without a conspecific. just imagine that you always have to be without a partner and are never allowed to have friends - wouldn't that be pathetically lonely?!? no matter how much time you spend with him or how many toys you get him, it will never be able to replace a partner and you know that as well as i do. may god bless you abundantly

How dare you make these horrible, baseless and incorrect assumptions about me and my animals. From day one Joey lived with FOUR other budgies and was NEVER alone; he lived far beyond the regular life expectancy of a budgie in captivity because of the wonderful conditions I kept him in. I also work with birds and animals professionally, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Cream of the crop. Teach him 'Make a cup of tea'. He will say it to yr hearts content. Our Joey was gorgeous & learnt that so well, so easy to teach him. Is this budgie still alive & how long do they last. I miss ours.

What a handsome boy! He's so smart!!!!!!!!! WOW what a vocabulary! I am floored! SO SMART! My mind is blown! I have had Budgies since I was a little girl I am 35 now and haven't had one for a long time, but my sweet babies may they RIP never were this smart and I am in tears saying that. I should correct that they were smart in their own way. I miss them so and one day will be a bird mom again. Joey is INCREDIBLE! THANK YOU FOR SHARING! HE MADE MY DAY!
