Would this monitor work okay for a MacBook that I’ll be editing video and occasional photos on? Looking for a budget monitor and at about 90 bucks this one is a contender at the moment.

raised blacks from ambient lighting. My G9 OLED does perfect black.

Anyone else have issues with text clarity on this monitor? For the life of me either on windows or Mac OS my eyes hurt so much trying to do productivity with this 😞
Not for me, this model had nearly perfect text clarity, this is 2nd generation QD-OLED which improving a lot of text clarity compare with 1st gen QD-OLED. All review also said near identical to RGB pixel alignment.
HI'm a happy user of No. 1 in your list for 3 years. Still the best for it's price. But should I go to upgrade to UW OLED?
For anyone interested in this monitor, it's utter shit and my advice is to avoid it and any other mini led display using the KTC backlight. The things have a 6-7 month lifespan then one half of the backlight will die, also the firmware is terrible.
samsung is just about to release the new 2024 odyssey line up....is this the new one or last year's?

This is the only OLED in 49" but was release in Jul 2023.
@@Andrewtst2009 They announced a new one for this year (g95sd), but there is no news yet.
@@Guillemod That D model basically same as C series but came with Matte screen, unless you need matte screen then you need to wait Samsung to released it, I think will be similar timing as C series - in month of July 2024.
Any opinions on this monitor vs the BenQ ex270qm?
Seeing as a lot of these have gone on sale recently, I think about $1,200....do you think they are prepping for a new model to be released soon? I'd be curious if a lot of the weird issues and QC problems are resolved. I'd love to add one to my setup, but nervous about these issues getting in the way. Also, does it support thunderbolt usb-c for macs?
The G95SD will be released this year. Unfortunately no thunderbolt or USB C with PD or Display Alt on this G95SC.

@Ideal-Setup the lack of USB C with Display Alt or thunderbolt is a big bummer for me. Last years G8 OLED had 65W capable USB C but this years G80SD lacks this. It seems they have limited this to their Smart and ViewFinity ranges.
@@Times33 Good to know. I'm mainly going to be using an ultrawide for video editing, so been doing a lot of research. Using an M1 Macbook Pro as the main workhorse for now.
i dont know why they made the frame grey... i feel it will kinda distract me or have some shiny while watching at night which i dont want....
I do not recommend Samsung brand monitors. Tons of QC issues. Weird behavior.

No USB C ports and the display port does not charge macbooks. For that price, I sent mine back.

I have one and I gotta say It's by far the best decision I've made buying a monitor I got it at micro center for 179 which is ridiculous the stand alone is amazing and very very well made I have a bunch of stands but this by far is the best and for the price nothing can beat it atleast in my opinion for the price and quality if you find one at micro center for cheap buy it you will not regret it.

Hello, I don’t have 10 bits but only 8, can you tell me why? I use DP to USB-C(with laptop Lenovo Legion 5)
Check your nvidia settings, if its a 120 hz monitor, lower it to 75 hz, maybe then you could enable higher color depth.
Just bought this monitor on sale from Dell for $180. Can’t wait to get it in and test it out. The audio output doesn’t bother me because I use my headset and I have a Sony Bravia that I have with a sound system for single player story games.
Will a 4070 graphics card be able to give me the best out this monitor?
