Hey there, I'm Xykrotik and I make video game music covers. I release covers on this channel at no set schedule currently. It can be hard to find motivation sometimes, but coming here to read all the positive comments keeps me going! I'm forever grateful for your support.
While I can't provide you permission to use my music covers in your videos, as you run the risk of copyright claims by the original composer if you do decide to take the risk, PLEASE make sure your video is NOT monetized. Also, please provide written credit as well as a link to my channel! Here’s an example that you’re welcome to copy and paste: (Music provided by Xykrotik: kzread.info)
Feel free to contact me at the email below with any questions that you have or that may have gone unanswered, but don't spam it!

What an awesome video!! I know it's been 2 years, but I CRAVE a separate video for the sacred duet just so I can play it on loop. It's honestly the only version of the duet that I've ever really liked aaaaa
Feels so nostalgic.... Spirit Tracks was my first zelda game, and the DS my first console I remember how I struggled while I was a kid Spent hours on some really dumb things like passing guards without being noticed Couldn't even reach the final boss lol ! It's still as of this day one of the greatest Zelda & Nintendo game. The DS has so much great ones. Pokemon Black & Spirit Tracks are still in my top 5 today
I am responsible for a youth group, and they asked if there was an arrangement of this piece. can you make this available, and can it be expanded? because in the original I also hear temple blocks and sleighbells, and a snare drum part. Greetings from the Netherlands!
Wooah wtttf❤
Men, I am feeling nostalgic. Thank you, I am feeling great now, there's a lot of good memories for me with this music. Thank you so much
Thank you for listening!
You did it perfectly, all the parts limited by the hardware of that time are present here, in a full oschestra. Thank you so much for digging the original song so well
One of my favorite songs out of Minish Cap! I loved spending time in that area as a kid. Thanks for your kind words and for giving it a listen :)
This is my favorite version of her theme on KZread. If you get the chance or even do this anymore you you remaster the crackling highs and pops at the start.
That's flattering to hear, I'm glad you like it so much. This is a really old cover of mine, back when I was still learning everything, those clipping issues bother me these days too haha. If I ever get back into making covers, I'll probably redo this one at some point, can't say it'll sound the same though as it'd be a new version of it, but maybe it'll be even better!
You miss me...
The better version
You did an amazing job. Still my favorite song in the game. Amazing job Xykrotik. You really capture the whimsicalness and nostalgia of Breathe of Fire. Round of applause. 😁
This was always a song that I hated leaving behind when you lave the shops in the game haha. It was so much fun just to sit there and groove to it. I'm glad you liked this cover of mine, means a lot!
@@Xykrotik Me too. 😁 When I think about Breathe of Fire I think about this song. You did an amazing job. Great work.
best game ever
Hey Xykrotik, every now and then I get a spontaneous urge to listen to the Sacred Duet but every single time that I do, I specifically feel the need to go to this particular version! It feels the most memorable because of how awesome it it. :)
I really appreciate that! I'm glad it's something you're willing to come back and listen to :)
One of the best. Its not a bombastic ripping peice that people try to make it into. Its a subtle thing and you nailed it
Thank you! I've always loved how somber the song is, I wanted to capture how it felt to me whenever it would play in game
Hi, I know its been a couple of years since you released this amazing cover, but I was wondering if you upload it to spotify?
Hey! I never planned to upload this to streaming services due to potential licensing issues & headache, moreso because this song is a combination of 2 separate songs, both not released in the US, the sacred duet and the final battle
This song is what made me care and really want to play spirit tracks Still looking for a good emulator for it, none seem to work right
Spirit Tracks was so much better than Phantom Hourglass. I did like PH bringing back Wind waker art style and ship sailing play style. I’ve always just preferred the Zelda games with instruments. Those are the best imo.
This is absolutely AMAZING!! The game is soo underrated!!
Absolutely amazing game. That DS Lite was basically shackled to my hands
Hi I’m a huge fan of this album and didn’t buy it in time, seems like you got hit with copyright or something - is there anywhere I can find it?
Hey! All Materia Collective community albums were taken down by the choice of the community behind them, unfortunately they are not/will not be available to stream or purchase again. Fortunately, you can find them forever archived on the fantastic Internet Archive: archive.org/details/materia-community-zodiac-final-fantasy-tactics-remixed/Materia+Community+-+ZODIAC+Final+Fantasy+Tactics+Remixed/ Hope this helps!
@@Xykrotik awesome thank you so much!
That’s a gateway entrance to Legend of Zelda they get a rid darkNess the monster malladus the battle final boss in a put a crystal on this had and sternum he said, I don’t like that music Vs the beast monster malladus Vs link the hero his sword the master sword with his spirit training
I want to see how a Zelda game looks like in a actual industrial era setting would look like!
Ah man... 2:41, I didn't expect to feel emotional from the Overworld theme. I was always a PH/ Windwaker Swashbuckler. Shows how important the Zelda series is.
Spirit tracks was the first Zelda game I was able to beat. You can make fun of me if you want, but 9 year olds can sometimes be dumb, and I never figured out the Triforce puzzle in phantom hourglass as a younger child lol. Spirit tracks was my childhood, I’ve probably played the game at least 4 times, love it still.
God I loved this game. I miss that gosh darn leprechaun.
Probably my favorite internet theme in the series
Also does this come for the dsi? I wanna play it. The 4 swords boss fights all on my own is way too hard for me.
Now that i think about it this melody at the start reminds me of a train starting up, first we hear the tracks, then the wheels, then the flute, the rest all the sights on the way. Then the bell, 1:42 this just proves it. The chugging of the train.
God, this sounded so good that I didn't even realized it was a Remix. Love your work man, gave me literal chills.
Thanks so much! That's an amazing compliment, I really appreciate it :)
I love this , i'm crying right now , this was My first zelda
Never played this game but my older sister has a ds, might get it
The part around 5:04 remind me of Emerson lake and Palmer lol
This is the only Duet that I did right on my first attempt in this game. Mostly because of the fact that since it's the title theme, I already knew what it was supposed to sound like.
It took me a while because of the blowing and because i wasnt very good with music at the time (i mean, i’m still not but a little better than before)
I just beat Breath of Fire for the first time. I grew up on the SNES but missed it as a kid. This song and the one that plays when Gobi transforms into the big fish really stood out to me. Great rendition bro, I love that slight heterodyne fuzz like I’m listening on an old radio, or playing it on an old TV like when I was little. Thanks a lot <3
Thanks for the kind words! Happy to hear you liked it :)
1 dislike from Sigma. Nice work!
Thanks!
The Nanai item shop is coded into the ROM, but it’s not accessible in normal gameplay. To access it, hack in DrWarp and set it to 0023.
I remember struggling with this bossfight + successfully playing the right notes on the spirit flute which is why i thought the game was hard lol
The BEST remix of this Tune. DAYUM!
Aw Thank you for the kind words!
This is such a great game and a great final boss battle and theme! It is just so amazing and the fact that the overworld theme is through into this theme shows how amazing this battle truly is! You're not just fighting the Demon King....you're also taking down the most powerful and most feared of the final bosses who didn't even get his full power and this was the time to FINISH HIM OFF!! It was amazing! Even Malladus said so himself "This Vessel...is...rejecting my spirit! I'm slipping...from it! I can't hold on for long.. But the world will crumble with the time I have left" Best final battle!
I like this so much I’ll give this a like + you earned yourself a subscriber + you should make more remixes of sonic mania zones and acts of those zones
I'd love to some time! We'll see what the future holds
L'un des meilleurs morceaux de la license ! Très bel arrangement musical ! 👍❤️
A little random but here is an idea of mine for a sequel of Spirit Tracks: Some time after ST, the stability of new Hyrule begins to wade, the tracks start disappearing, but only small sections at a time and monsters attack more and more. The Link of this adventure travels through the land, firstly by foot, later possibly on trains, in an effort to push back the darkness and regain the grace of the goddesses back, before New Hyrule ends like Lorule.
This final boss theme is better than any other piece of music ever created for Zelda. Period.
Better version I've never hear
I love your remixes and I love that some people appreciate this game recently. I suggest lone challenger
When Link doesn't have his Ocarina on him, so he just hums the intro of the Oath to Order, himself! XD But seriously, nice work, getting goosebumps over here! ;D
Thanks a ton! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)
So chill, so serious, so cool I really love SearchMan.EXE and his theme
This arrangement is really cool! I also really love the sound font used. What program and sound fonts do you use?
Thank you! Not sound fonts, but sample libraries :) Honestly, at this point I cannot recall. I think I EastWest's Hollywood Diamond Percussion, because it's the best I had at the time... though I would not recommend their stuff today, haha. It was one of those trial and error purchases when I was starting out, and there's honestly way better stuff out there today at a more affordable price and/or free than there was when I started
It's beautiful 🥲
Favorite final theme in all of zelda man. Perfect
The bells when the beast is sealed are chilling
Glad you enjoy the cover!
Good instrumentation. Thank you.
No, Thank YOU! I'm glad you like this :) It's rather old and one of my first orchestrations, so by today's standards, it could definitely use some work, but I was very proud of it when I first started
