I bought the eBay strip and fitted it. The seal is harder and not a good at sealing the draught as the original Velux type which is softer and beds better for a draught proof seal. So spend a bit more and get the genuine article that really is more effective than these cheaper varieties would be my advice.

We bought the KYS900 sauna/steam/shower direct from Insignia. Shocking build quality, one sauna heater not working out of the box, "monsoon" shower more of a drizzle, floor extremely slippery, waste pipe like tissue paper and split out of the box. Rejected and returned for a refund which we got but we have them in small claims court as they will not pay the consequential damages they are legally required to. Dreadful company, best avoided.

I always grease up the end of my drill bit and have somebody hold my shopvac nozzle up to the drill hole to catch the swarf. I refill with ATF as it swells the seals and makes it last longer. The seals for the rod allow a thin film of oil to pump by and the shock will have less oil than new from the factory. I fill them up and remove the air and just top them off and never have a problem. I TIG weld a nut to the hole and use a screw with fiber washer to seal it for next time. I top mine off about once per year.

Many shock absorbers are oil filled and then pressurized with nitrogen to keep the oil from aerating. Also, the best oil for a shock absorber is one that keeps viscosity in all temps. Otherwise you wind up with a shock that rides hard when it gets cold out.

You can mistakenly swap the Coolant temp sensor and #1 injector connector. Done it once and it created all kinds of problems. Vehicle would start and run but once warmed up it would not restart. White connector is coolant and black are injectors.
