Hello. I'm Nick, and I like tech.
I’m into both retro and modern gaming and have a soft spot for handheld consoles.
On my channel, we’ll check some out the newest (and oldest) emulation handhelds and the best budget devices. We’ll cover different ways to game, review controllers, fight sticks, hit boxes, etc. I’ll probably be covering some collectible toys too. I’ll be doing free giveaways, reviews, teardowns, repairs, mods, and I will definitely be unboxing some exciting “packages from China!”
We’ll discuss our favorite ways to game and cover the newest indies and AAA releases. And for the retro gaming fans we’ll be going way back into the retro archives on legit consoles and through emulation.
Let’s kick back and have a blast to the past while riding this wild digital wave into the future! 👾🌊

Does it play Dreamcast?
To my friends: Thanks for hanging with me through this one. To the angry people: Let me be clear since you can’t seem to read a title or a video description.. This isn’t a review. This is an unboxing and first impressions video, as stated in the title and spoken in the video. Think twice before coming here with disrespect. This is a small channel and I take the trash out daily.
@@OGTechNick That was a simple question I don't know what disrespect you feel in that.
image os this handheld?
alguma cfw ?
How to do that ? Can you share the firmware ! I cannot install 64bit Android apps in my E6 plus .Thanks !
Hi nick! Enjoyed ur video. I got issue with my unit that i bought from my local game store. It doesn’t come with the linux installation, only the android side. Do you know where can i find the images for the linux so i can flash my unit with one?
Here’s the link to @HackAround custom Linux firmware for the E6 Plus. It’s called CHAOS. I don’t currently have a working link for the stock firmware but I’m pretty sure this one is the better option anyway. github.com/tech4bot/AmberELEC/releases/tag/20240509
FUCKING SHAKE TAKES A SHOT OF WHISKEY .....
What pokemon games are on it ?
Hello! I saw your review on AliExpress. Have you bought the Casio watch? I don't see any video related to that
Yeah. My hands are shaky in these early videos. It’s because I’m balancing on a stool with my elbows resting on my knees. Everybody that comes in here specificially trying to make jokes about it render themselves invisible in this community of decent people. It’s up to you. For the rest of you, thanks for watching, respectfully.
Nice to see all the r36s versions. Do you think its worth it to pay a bit more for the 128gb version? Or do they usually have many useless duplicates of the games pre-installed? I already own a retroid pocket2s which I love, but I want to get this so I have lots of games in 1 place. Just not sure which is better 64gb or 128gb. Cheers!
Hello! I saw your review on AliExpress. Have you bought the Casio watch? I don't see any video related to that
You can fix the d-pad issue by opening up the casing and loosen the two screws in the middle holding the circuit board to the case. After a bit of trial and error, i can execute the fireball motion on the d-pad much easier.
please try tmnt on openbor on the powkiddy v10
Hi, great review! Thanks for trying this controller for some games. I appreciate it. Can I ask if you can adjust the rumble?
Will it genshin?
Tell me you've seen the Deadpool controller? It's got butt cheeks!
I hadn’t.. Thanks for letting me know. It’s soo freakin funny! 😂 🎮 🍑
I tried using b9 for my switch, but the switch think its on dock mode although its on handheld mode, so the gyro working like docking mode as you need to swing left and rigth to use gyro, not tilt it like you play on phone..
@imbatman5539 Interesting. Sorry to hear that. That’s good information to know. I wasn’t aware of the gyro issue. I don’t use gyro often, so I forget to test it whenever I review new controllers. I’ll try to remember from here on out. Thanks for pointing that out, and sorry you don’t have the gyro control you need for the games you would like to play with the D9.
I think its tricky when you use it on switch to play shooting game.. the switch think you play it as docking.. the left and right gyro funtioning like docking mode
I just saw your other comment. Thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t know and that’s something I should’ve tested.
Are the triggers more like Gulikit or 8bitdo? I hate 8bitdo triggers tho. Hope you can answer if u hav time.😊
buen video saludos desde pollo sin bikini pr
I think I recall seeing in another video that volume is L3 or R3 plus left and right on the d pad. Somewhere I think it mentions the -/+ (L3/R3) buttons as also being select buttons, hence why the instructions are sort of half right, but also half very wrong.
I'm curious. They delete the Mario games but what about Zelda?
Good question. Usually they’re also missing whenever Mario is. I’ll check tonight and get back to you.
It does have the Zelda games 👍
@@OGTechNick kinda defeats the purpose. Maybe they don’t really know what games Nintendo makes
Yeah, I agree. It seems like they don’t know what they’re doing. They just seem to think Mario=Nintendo.
I've seen a lot of pocketable mini handheld, but this with the price its not negotiable. Could this be a king of mini handheld? 😂
Was going to ask if you plan to do a face reveal but then realized your face is reflected in the screen of every device you review lol.
🙈
A V10 is on a slow boat from China on its way to me. Sorry I couldn't use your link Nick but it was an impulse purchase while lying in bed a few days ago. Thanks for another excellent video.
I'm Brazilian and I understand almost nothing of their language. However, I can watch your video (and understand what you're saying) thanks to the "magic" of KZread's instant translation hehehe
That’s cool! I love that we have this technology. Thanks for watching my videos!
comprarla hasta que baje a 29
Hey man! I hope you're doing well! Are you still a little nervous on some videos? Or it was because some of your previous videos were live? Thanks for the awesome content, your channel is a blessing bringing us all the new stuff so quickly!
Hey thanks man. Yeah, I still get a little nervous. None of my videos have been published live with chat yet, but all of my videos have been filmed in single takes and I’ve never edited out anything I’ve done or said since I started about 8-9 months ago. It kinda feels like I’m in front of the classroom giving a presentation like back in college. I’d get nervous then too, even when well prepared. It’s just me. I’m planning on being more organized going forward so hopefully it’ll help with the nerves. I like to keep it human, so I’ll probably keep my general style, but at least try to save you guys the time when I make mistakes so you don’t have to fast forward or wait through my blunders. I really appreciate you watching and commenting!
@@OGTechNick Looking forward to catching you live and participating in the chat when you feel up for it. 👍
Nintendo DS is surprisingly fun on this screen. Yes it has to have the weird controls and window switching but I am amazed by this little guy. It's quickly becoming a replacement for my R36S
Nice! I’m going to have to give it a try. I’ve just recently been learning about what an amazing library of games the DS has.
Hi. How to make navigation buttons appear on the screen? (go back, multitask)
I think you have a different version of Android. The first one they sent me lacked the navigation buttons and it somehow stopped working and the next one they sent was updated with this version. If you know how to flash the Android version directly to the device I can probably get the file for you.
Thank you for the video bro. I like the look of this, but i think I'll wait for custom firmware. Powkiddy seems to fumble with firmware on their lower end devices
looks nice except for those dumb + and - buttons
I wouldn't mind them if Powkiddy would make better use of them. Why they didn't make them volume I can't imagine. I have a Powkiddy Q90 with plus and minus buttons and only the minus button does anything. The plus is literally used for nothing unless you install CFW.
Is gba legacy of goku on it
Great first look video. Thanks for covering the Android side. Maybe I'm an odd duck ("Maybe‽‽‽" - Literally everyone) but if this were Linux only then I couldn't have cared less about it. I like Linux; but, there's a lot of better options around this price point. What makes the E6 Plus special is that it's a relatively big handheld that runs Android with a price well under a C-note. And almost nobody tested the Android side. It's disappointing. What's not disappointing is your review of this handheld and the E6 Plus itself. It looks like a worthy contender and a whole lot of fun. I especially like the WiiU style stick placement. I've never seen "Evangelion". It sounds like a Sunday School cartoon about a big cat that's a preacher who totally doesn't eat the other townsfolk; but, something tells me I couldn't be more wrong. When I think of green and purple I think of Joker from "Batman".
I've found myself chuckling for the last few days thinking about your Evangelion reference. Too funny, my friend. Thanks for the laughs.
Looks pretty good, been keeping my eye on this as the software progresses it looks more and more appealing.
I 100% have to have the Amiibo function, so ordering these today.
Too bad you didn't get the case. I'm trying to see if the split pad pro could fit.
It has all the Pokemon games on Gameboy section??
How do you program it to work with an iPhone playing call of duty
Hey nick, could you try dolphin with like animal crossing??? I feel like that may run pretty well overall and is a small dl
I’ll see if I can t get to that this week. I don’t have very high expectations because even my T618 devices struggle with GameCube, but Animal Crossing just might work.
@@OGTechNick I wonder because it's nigh on playable with the RGB30 I have, but maybe the 2gigs of ram or android might make the magic happen! 😁
Awesome content btw, I am usually lurking 😂 reading any additional stuff from videos.
Can you turn off thr back buttons ?
Yeah. That would be a dealbreaker for me if you couldn’t turn them off.
Just ordered mine for £19 can’t wait
Just ordered mine for £23 all in, can’t wait
this or the BSP-D9? gonna buy tomorrow and I'm contemplating on which is better
This..if it’s in your price range. It’s pretty great
When you order from Aliexpress, do you check the rating or not and how long a store has been in business? The X39 looks like a Pocketgo v2 clone.
Is it can run Wii and PS2?
No. Maybe a few PS2 games, but probably not very comfortably. I just used my SD card from my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro in this device temporarily and it has some games from those systems on it. It’s definitely not a device you would purchase for those systems, but I might install Aethersx2 and see if I can get some of the lighter games to run.
@@OGTechNick Thanks, because I have RG503, that should be same processor, but it can't run Wii and PS2 games
If you're going to side load it anyways; I've had really good luck with the NetherSX2 mod. I use the "modern" version, I forget the exact name - but there's "modern" and "classic" versions built off of two of the better Aether builds, and I feel like it runs a bit better in some games. Good enough to get a decent chunk of the PS2 library running here? Probably not; but, the odds are slight better than Aether. Slightly.
I've never seen this device, I need one it's a hilariously small and cute steam deck
This android end looks more promising. Thank you for sharing
Someone has yet to test nds emulation , with the touchscreen on it xD
Thanks for letting me know. I'll try to upload some gameplay soon. Can anybody recommend some DS games that would be good to test the touchscreen with? I know there are a ton, but I'm not very familiar with Nintendo DS.
@OGTechNick to test the touch, I'd say ninja gaiden is the ultimate test game. You have to swipe and slash all sorts of crazy ways to pull off combos
@CornyPuddle cool. I’ll definitely check it out
I tested Ninja Gaiden and was surprised to see that it was vertically oriented. It actually works pretty well for side by side orientation on a 16:9 screen. Probably similar or slightly larger screens than what would be on an original DS. So yeah, I swiped and slashed and the touch screen seems to work well. I moved up a bit in the game and I'm going to play again later when I have some more time. I've never played a game with touch controls like this before. I appreciate the recommendation.
@OGTechNick thank you for checking it out and letting us know. That game is fairly demanding. If the E6plus runs that well. Then it should be able to run most of the library no sweat
