"Tevildo" To-Evil-Do. Haven't watched the video yet, but that's what I got from the name.
Hilarious how Gimli is Galadriel’s biggest fan 😂 defo would start a fanclub if he could
Thanks Matt for sharing this amazing tour with us. What an incredible job they've done re-creating Hobbiton. This was a really fun video to watch.
I hate the hero pan where they all slowly draw weapons. It's such an overdone and lazy shot
Since I first read Tolkien at 16 (45 years ago) I have traveled a lot. Study abroad, the Navy, overseas jobs for years at a time, and I always return to "well I'm back" after every trip.
Was Sauron actually an elf? No Sauron is not an elf, elves are the firstborn children of iluvatar but Sauron is a maia an angelic being that has existed before the universe was even created.Nov 10, 2017
So, Sauron is...an elf? 🤔🤷🏻♀️
It would be fun to build out the remaining Hobbit Holes and have some residents caretakers maintain the set. Possibly throw in some old film equipment from the time of filming.
Can you get cancer if youre immortal
Made an error in this one. Galadriel had been to Valinor! Otherwise great video
Watching this video is the next best thing to actually being there. Thank you so much, Matt, this is awesome!
Maybe it's Uinen with the sea monster??
Barrow Wights Please, Please, Please!!
Too bad the eagles couldnt have just taken Bilbo Gandalf and thorins company all the way to the lonely mountain
Just some weirdo Catholic writer fantasizing about himself being god, a Mary-Sue. Tolkien was a bit fasc at the end of the day.
You did your homework bro.🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for taking us along on this tour. I absolutely would love to go to New Zealand and see Hobbiton in person and other film sites and the grandeur beauty of the country, but alas I know I'll never get to see any of it in person. Love from central Texas ❤
can anyone top Bernards hill performance?
The siege and fall of the capital city of Ost-in-Edhil is one of the most pivotal moments of the second age, with the Army of Lindon arriving to reinforce Eregion's forces, but still unable to win the day, culminating with Celebrimbor defending the great doors of the House of the Mirdain from Sauron's forces and ultimately falling in one-on-one combat with Sauron himself. Not sure how Amazon will depict this, as their version of the grandson of Feanor isn't really the bristling-with-power High Elf battle-mage you'd think he'd need to be to fight Sauron even for a few seconds.
Put some respect on my name!!
I was watching lord of the rings the other day and thought this would be a good what if topic. Also it would be a great twist of the power of redemption if when the balrog held the ring he remembered the music of the ainur and longed to return to the light of illuvatar. He could then destroy the ring at the crack of doom single-handedly, and go on to subdue saruman and his army, befriend gandalf the white, and reminisce about the first album of the ainulindulae.
It isn't bragging if you can do. Fram.
on the bucket list
Watching this I'm reminded I know/knew the fellow who got the role for Gaffer Gamgee, also known as Sir Not Appearing in this Film. Knew him back in the late seventies. So a while ago.
I'm impressed by the level of detail and research you put into this video. Well done!
If the Balrog would have the ring he would answer Gandalf: "No, YOU shall not pass"
The King is back!
The ring has a corrupting effect on the user, and, despite their initial intentions, the ring always bends the wielder's intentions towards those of its true master, Sauron. I think that as the Balrog perfects its mastery over the ring, the ring would also perfect its mastery over him. Thus the Balrog would seek less to destroy Middle-Earth, and seek to rule it, as Sauron does.
dude, a little baby hobbit would like this big 🤏
Bro I would volunteer to be the grounds cleaner or a hobbit hole janitor just so I could hang out all the time.
Such a waste. All her wisdom didnt teach her to live
HA! eat your heart out Graham Norton! It is real!
41:31 Théoden didn't say that. The exact quote is "I had not heard that they spouted smoke from their mouths." Kind of disappointing that error from 8 months ago wasn't corrected and now got carried forward into this compilation especially since the accurate story is right there in 'The Road to Isengard' chapter of _The Two Towers_
It's very beautiful, but I think it looks too much like the Nineteenth Century. Just sayin'....
Ive been scammed! I wanna go in a Hobbit hole. I went there in 2019. It was amazing and truely mind blowing that its a movie set. Nice tour!
Thanks for sharing this!
The first season of most shows is almost always the weakest. I liked the show (more than The Hobbit but less than LoTR) and am looking forward to more.
I live in Hamilton, just up the road, and had a couple of German backpackers staying with us one time, and they were desperate to go to Hobbiton, so we took them along. Went to the Green Dragon, and Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan were serving drinks!
Yeah. I'm pretty stoked at this news. I'm also looking forward to seeing how badly it's going to humiliate amazon. 🙂
So cool! Great guide too, super approachable. Thanks for doing this!
I hope someday they transplant a real oak tree there
Hi Matt. Thank you. This is really good!
I definitely agree that halbran shouldn't of turned out to be sauron, he was supposed to be disguised as an elf right? They should have built up to sauron also how tf did galadriel survive the volcano 🤣 I enjoyed the show but you pointed out great fails like there isn't no epic journey feeling. I don't think there's any fixing the mistakes but will see.
Also yes Elrond should have definitely been the main character, galadriel was a mystery but no where near as cool as elrond. Maybe in season 2 galadriel will have some repercussions and elrond will end up taking the show.
So this video has been out for years BUT I was just thinking to me Tom being a verse of the music from Eru himself that came to be in middle earth as it was being created would be a solid and cool idea 👀
the show is not good at all terrable wont be watching season 2
thank you for sharing this ❤
It would ultimately trigger the Dagor Dagorath. The Valar would descend, Tulkas would wrestle the Balrog (or Morgoth, if he returned) to the ground, and Turin Turambar would impale him throught the heart with Gurthang. Everything ends and returns to the music of Eru. Middle Earth credits roll.
Poor Gollum! He is a cool character in books and films. He deserves the new movie.
Still more questions than answers but truly truly enjoyed that I had discussions with my kids who were Hobbit fans about Tom that I wasn't able to answer I'm going to relate a sight to my daughter I gave the red book I think she would enjoy this site again thank you for your effort and your time most appreciated
What’s cool about NOTR is that he is not an extremist pessimist fan like many fan experts or reactioner😁😁😁😁😁 You are a true LOTR fan. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
