    Get some nike blazers theyre not used for skating often but they are cheap and provide great anckle support

    Cheapest I've found so far are about $85 (New zealand dollars), various etnies and new balance shoes are a fair bit cheaper in the $60 range. Being vegan defintely doesn't help things. So far I've only skated vans and the EMERICA WINO G6 both of which felt fine, though didn't have any ankle support. I've got hot pockets in both feet at the moment so time for another break anyway!

    Great vid! I wanted to ask, are you right footed or left? Cant seem to choose wether im a goofy skater or regular

  • @Anstarzius
    @Anstarzius13 күн бұрын

    Thank you! I'm right footed and I'm a goofy skater (I don't think there's a guaranteed correlation though, my friend is also right footed but skates regular), my left foot is my back foot and my right foot is my front foot. If you try pushing around one of them should just feel a little easier at the start, it won't hurt to learn switch from the start though if you find yourself wanting to switch stance a lot. I can't push switch at all and to get into fakie or switch I push off mongo (meaning I step on with my backfoot first then push with my front foot, then step into switch/fakie foot positioning).

    It honestly does not matter which foot is the dominant when it comes to choosing your stance, just pick the stance you feel most confortable riding. However, do make sure to stick to it once you choose it, as it will help you progress faster and more consistently, then a bit later on you can start doing switch stuff as you get confortable on that board. I'm personally right footed and skate regs, which I feel made it easier for me to have more pop, but on the other hand, learning heelflips took me a bunch of time since the flick is with my non dominant leg.

    Real viper pog, don't worry I'm making an effort to fall at least once everyday to harden my skin and build up my falling muscle and reflexes so that I can fall as much as I like in the future. I can now shuv it consistently on carpet but my brain refuses to allow my back foot to commit to landing on the board when on concrete.

    @@Anstarzius Bruh the bigger self harm to me is wearing shoes indoors XD Don't to get your ankles twisted for it tho, i injured my left knee during workout months ago and the fucker took its time healing before i could work out again

  • @Anstarzius
    @Anstarzius9 ай бұрын

    I already hurt my foot and couldn't walk for 2 days, but it was just bruising so it was okay. I agree with not wearing shoes indoors, but it is winter and it is raining a lot so it is my only option so I don't sandpaper my feet off.
