Transmission went out at 144k failed torque converter 6800$ for new transmission stay away from this generation if you can. My coworker has a 2014 he’s replaced his transmission twice
Good looking junk 😂
Why even bother you better off with a Yukon Denali.
Lol right. I was going to get one and trade my 2012 Cts coupe for it and now, NOT! My CTS hvnt given me any problems yet and owned it for 9 years.
Nice video man
Keep the piece of s***
Thank you!!!!! I was really looking into buying a 2018 GMC 1500 Denali. This totally changed my mind.
Wow is this ever a good review for once! This guy knows his trucks.
Currently waiting on the dealer to get back with me on a 2014 with decentmiles. Im starting think the dealer can just keep it. Not a GM dealer either.
Got a 2018 2.7 with the 10 speed with 68K and my transmission blew up bad almost wrecked because of jt
Bruh i just picked up a 16 denali sierra praying hoping wishing it lives up to my 99 silverado😂
Never buy a car made in America Buy from Germany
I have vibration around 70 mph. Hope, nothing else breaks, Lord willing.
Got a 2016 f150 2.7 drove an shift just fine left to go to store ten feet from house it got stuff into 3rd gear any idea what it could be would be appreciated. Everything was just fine till then
This last week I've had to replace the starter, BCM, Fuse Block, and now I have CEL on with code P06DD. I hope it's a simple fix. 2014 Silverado.
It's amazing how the more expensive trucks get, the less quality they are made with.
It's a shame since these are such beautiful trucks, especially the higher trim models, dang!
Just did my transmission on my 2015 136,000 miles
Wow recently became my dream truck totally ruined after this video …
Well looks like im not getting a tahoe
I just bought a 2018 Denali I’m fucked lol with 58k
I own a 2018 GMC Sierra. Love the look of the truck and the ride is one of the smoothest ever but it has plenty of problems. Radio went out possibly 2400 bucks to fix. Water pump just got replaced at 100,000 which is pretty shity . The AC randomly doesn't work along with my temperature gauge and the cooling fan stays running after you turn off the truck. Not to mention the transmission does seem like it shifts weird. It has the 8-speed automatic. Really love the truck but what a pain in the butt probably won't ever buy another GMC or Chevy again
Damn I just got a 2018 sierra z71 4x4 😂😂😂😮😮
My 2013 F-150 had a recall for a downshift so I had it done, 8 days later the truck downshifted from 65 mph to first gear and damaged my truck engine that had 83,000 miles on it and I got this truck new. Ford will not fix it and wanted $16,500 from me, that will not happen. No more Fords for me.
Intermittent lose of power during slow turns . ( try steering with no power fun ) I’ve had mines loose power at 45 mph and automatically cruise control came on at 55 mph when power restored. Talk about freaked out..2015 V8 4x4 model yes to A/C and condenser going out yes to transmission failure 4K.. lost of braking at slow speeds. but absolutely beautiful truck .. SMH 🥴
Tran down shifted hard when goes to 1 st gear only when trans gets over a 145 temperature took it to a dealer ship had it reprogrammed and still having the same problem
These things sound like a hunk of junk
I hope GM goes out of business for building the most shitty trucks ever
I have a 2014 GMC sierra v6 and the oil gauge fluctuates even after the truck is warmed up. Dropped below 40 once but mostly it stays at 40 while idling. When driving it goes between 40 and 70. Any help is greatly appreciated. I’ve had the truck for three days and I bought it for $24,000. I think I messed up after reading these comments.
I have a problem with water leaking coming from the windshield on the passenger side, the water went straight to the BCM and caused a short circuit! now I have to spend over 1k to fix it =-(
BWW=Beached Whale Corpse
Me watching this while just bought one .
The radio doesn't work anymore shakes at lights ima try to sell it before the engine lights come on good looking truck though but i think ima get a ford
Idk if I should buy a used 2017 gmc serra for $14,000 it has 200,000 miles?
Hell no bro, way too much mileage for that year. You will definitely be rebuilding the transmission
At that point bro just save your money and get a low mileage car
Buyer beware and especially gm dealerships for diagnosis they will dodge ( pun ) actual problems as they have been hushed up and repairs can be false. There are aftermarket better north american made parts and youtube videos to help sort out problems - transmission - there is a valve rebuild kit that improves fluid distribution and works great - billet torque converters not gm original , VVT bypasses to run on 8 cylinders only - these things cost $5k to have done - GM class action law suit should be paying for transmission valve changes and torque converter - my engine is 6.2 in 1500 gmc 2017 and runs great ..... now
The perfect lease Makes me puke just thinking about all these costly repairs damnnn 🤮🤮
No mention of the 2015 burning oil like crazy, doesnt smoke, just likes to consume alot of oil.
I'm having the same problem.
This 6.2L truck sounds like a real POS.. too bad I have one. My service underwriter guy said get a repair policy or sell it, at 74,000 miles Just fixed a bent rod for $4,300. And bought repair policy for $3K for 5 years..
The exterior quality of all GM/GMC trucks is horrendous, GM knows that the rockers and cab corners rot out prematurely yet they won't perform any type of update to their corrosion protection techniques. Obviously it's planned obsolescence as they hope people will replace the truck within 4 to 7 years. Right about the time that you make your last payment, your lured into a new 4 to 7 year truck payment so the endless cycle continues.
I was just looking into getting a used one 2017 wow
Same
Me too, now I’m second guessing
What a load of shit
Gm and all the other us brands are falling down in making trucks
Dumb video
Cam phaser knock at startup (5000$ for replacement, including the timing belt). Catalytic converter issue at 115k miles (2300$). Leaking Oil pan at around 138k(1100$). Leaking water pump at 138k miles(900$). Tail light fogging up,replaced the bulb myself(15$). All done at the Ford dealership. I got to say, they did a great job fixing it. I still love the car, make sure you get some warranty to cover the repair cost, it's a fairly big vehicle and it's designed to fail after 100k miles. Regular oil change and other maintenance should help. And other typical maintenance stuff...
I own a 2014 Sierra and I approve this message, I can’t tell you how many issues I have had since owning this truck, it has really been a nightmare. GMC is trash and I will NEVER buy another vehicle from them again.
I have a 2018 GMC sierra 1500 Z71 replaced the AC condenser at 75k and it's in the shop as we speak 89k miles and fuel injectors bad and also has low compression on cylinder 1
How much did the fuel injectors cost you for parts and labour?
@@mustang3496 1500
I own a 2016 and ive already put well over 13k into in the problems are still coming, new motor, new ac system, new suspension system, new radio, tons of sensors, worst mistake ive ever made!!!
Wowwwwwwww
Everyone praises the B58 but this tells a different story. Was looking to get the X 35 4.0i. Hard pass. Ex Mercedes owner.
The B58 doesn't come in this suv. It is in the 2019+ x5's.
Wow just saw a 2014 for sale ...I guess it will stay on the lot
Don’t do it, I own one, I wish I would’ve never bought it.
I owned 2017 Sierra 1500 with the 5.3 liter engine and 8 speed transmission. I traded it in at 55000 miles for a RAM 5.7 liter Hemi. The a/c condenser went out at 20000 miles would have cost 3000.00 to fix. (Still under warrantee) The concern I had was the 8 speed transmission. It shifted really hard in 1 to 3 gear. There was an audible clunk and shudder. GM continually denied they have a problem with that transmission, although it is no longer available and if you go internet surfing you will see lots of sites complaining about the same issues I noted above. I will never buy another GM product.
Yeah my moon roof didnt work and I was pissed
