Thank you, helpful video
Thank you- very helpful!
Thank you, this really helps me out.
My zipper I need to fix also needs the fabric repaired and it had a plastic reinforcement. How do you fix that.
Thank you for sharing, I was able to fix my jacket
Great video. I have a jacket that needs a new pin, ordered a zipper kit. Can't find a pin that fits one on jacket so going to have to replace both pin and box. But that said the pin side is a little frayed not horribly but, would like to reinforce the area. What do you suggest to reinforce before putting pin on? Thank you.
Thank you so much
Thank you!
Cudnt b asked so i forced n fixed
from wher we buy the pin
I wanted to know how to find out if the slider is fine.
I am so happy to find this video! I thought I was going to have to say 'good-bye' to an Eddie Bauer rain jacket.
Thanks !!
I can’t get my zip apart at the bottom, so as to separate the 2/2 of a mattress cover . Didn’t want to pull it too hard but if there’s nothing to remove first I’ll give it another go 🤔
Brilliant thank you
Great tutorial! I will finally be able to fix the insert pin of my jacket! On a side note, I wanna ask if there are any alternative to the zipper pincher? Would a regular plies work?
I just fixed it using force and only now i find this video😭😭
Thank you, Top Notch.
I found this video after trying to fix my broken hoodie and I used what you said and it worked! Thank you so much keep doing what you do!!
Super helpful, thank you!!
Excellent
I’m trying to find a replacement box; are there certain sizes to choose from or one size fits all? My zipper says YKK 45C
Very helpful! I thought the zippers on my two favorite jogging jackets were done for. Thank you for showing me how to replace the bottom stop on both of them! :)
Do you know if you can use metal retainer box when the zipper is plastic?
Based on how this works, I honestly have no clue how it’s actually possible for it to become misaligned in the first place. That’s make no sense.
Just happened to me that's why I searched to find out what to do!
Just what I needed, thank you 😊
Thankyou for this fantastic tutorial. You have saved me from throwing away a brand new jacket
Thank you so much. It cost me one dollar to repair a brand new down-filled base layer jacket that no one (neither the store nor manufacturer) would warranty. I thought it was going to cost me about $50 or more to replace the misaligned zipper. Instead, after seeing your post, I bought the top pieces at a fabric store and fixed it myself in minutes. Very grateful. 😊
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills. I am so glad to find a way to repair my jacket. Can you tell were I can buy the pin? Is it sold as a repair kit?
What a stupid video. Your cameras on other things. Not on where it's needed
Thank you so much. I have a new puffer jacket that the zipper pull fell off. I saved it. I couldn't figure out how it fell off, and I couldn't get it back on. Then I noticed the zipper box was separated/pulled away from the teeth at the bottom. I think I can reuse it if I can get it off without damage. It is metal. Your video is the first one I found that clearly shows how it is attatched. I do have to get ahold of a tool to crimp it properly. Thank you so much!
Absolutely life-changing for me lol thank you!
😍😍😍
Thank you! My pin/lower part of zipper is separated from coat. Tailor chargers $65 to replace the zipper. I'll see if I can DIY.
Thank you for this vid. Helpful.
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful for you.
Excellent demonstration/explanation
Many thanks!
Will this work on a backpack?
Yes it will work the same with a backpack.
Why did you say replace the slider? Is a broken slider the cause of the misalignment?
Hello, more often than not the slider is the issue. Not always however if you use the same slider it may get misaligned again, so best to replace it all together.
How do you add the stops and plastic to a brand new separating zipper tape?
Hello, a brand new zipper already has top stops on it. The only time you would need to replace the top stops or add tops stops is if you replace the slider or shorten the zipper. I hope that answered your question.
Thank you for taking time to reply. I was actually referring to zipper tape that is sold by the yard. It doesn’t come with zipper pulls or stops. You’re supposed to cut the tape to the desired length and add stops and zipper pull. I was able to figure out how to add the stops and pulls and plastic.
@@Cynisecheri Oh ok I'm sorry I misunderstood. I am glad you were able to figure it out
@@topnotchdesigns303 Thank you again. You’re video was very helpful
slow down , great job thanks
Thanks, will do!
Thank you for the information! Great tutorial. Very helpful, I appreciate it.😁
You're very welcome. Glad it was helpful!
Thanks great video.
You're very welcome. Glad you liked it!
Will this method still work if jacket has two sliders ?
Yes it will work the exact same. Will be posting a video on how to do that soon.
What plastic is that you heated with lighter?
The plastic piece where the pin box was to seal it and prevent fraying.
@@topnotchdesigns303 How do you add the stops and plastic to a brand new separating zipper?
Good vid, but please zoom in next time, and film horizontal
Thanks for the feedback, will do.
What should I do if I don’t have enough material to heat up to put the zipper back on to ?
Hello, you don't always have to heat it up if the area is not enough for you to attach a new pin or insertion box then you may have to replace the zipper.
I normally "fix" those with a safety pin. Lol! Your method is much better! Thank you for sharing cousin!♥
You're very welcome!! A safety pin is a good quick fix until you can get home and fix it permanently.
I have yet to make a bucket yet!! That turned it really cute!!
You should really make one. I love making these hats.
Some zipper have locks in strap 😂😂 I just noticed
Yes they surely do lol the locking zipper slider.
