Our response area covers 848 square miles and serves more than 480,000 people in unincorporated areas of Ventura County and six of its cities, including: Camarillo, Moorpark, Ojai, Port Hueneme, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks.

Thank you so very much for recording the ceremony, our family was not able to attend this year to honor the memory of our son, brother, father, uncle VCFC Firefighter Steven A. Gregory, so we very much appreciate the ability to participate in this manner. Gone, but not forgotten....the Gregory family.
Beautiful ceremony for all those who have served. Will always remember Matt Clapsaddle.

For a quick way to knock out grease fire, you can use Salt. It will be messy cleanup after the fire is extinguished, but it is better than waiting on the fire department. I live near an area where a fire department services 4 or 5 small communities for both EMT & Fire calls. And all do double duty, & if they were dispatched to another area. it may take longer before they got to me. I have extinguisher, but for the ones that do not, this is another method while you are waiting for the Fire department to get to you.

I enjoy the videos, but this video doesn't match the title. It does answer why the engines are yellow but doesn't explain the multiple engines in the station.

How come your department doesn't run ambulances?
they do, they have paramedic-issued engines also, it's just mainly fire engines and pumper/tankers. they also have calfire ambulances.

Hello, Your Firefighter are WONDERFUL ! You have been sooo nice & kind and - or course, helpful....my hubby was on home hospice & required your strong muscles a couple of times...he passed Feb. 25th ...your kindness was invaluable. Love my VCFD firefighters/paramedics....

It helped some of my co- workers in a bread factory where the ambient temperature is 95 And standing behind a tunnel oven for 12 hrs dumping bread on a Conveyor belt where temp can get 110!

Why staff swift water teams for a wind only event?
Rosenbauer are total garbage! Why any department would buy these is beyond me. Most are defective off the assembly line and the breakdown rate is ridiculously high. They should sell you a tow truck along with the engine.

Is there more Ventura County Fire Department Rosenbauer Engines? Does it need more numbers on it? We have to replace the VCFD old Patrol unit with a Ford F550 or Ram 5500.
