I’d like to buy a few houses in Memphis or a multi family. I’d like to provide them to supportive housing. How are the rental laws and I wonder how much these agencies pay for room rentals and house rentals

I'm a high end residential and commercial electrician that has worked in Memphis for 30 years. I have gate codes to neighborhoods most people don't even know exist and have done multiple jobs in Harbor Town including a complete renovation there I was in yesterday. I don't know these ladies at all and have ZERO connections to them at all but every word they said is true! It's safe and private but has a community feel and you'll get back whatever you put in a house! 😁😁

I live in Memphis and moved into a 55and over community . I feel we a lacking in reasonably priced housing for middle income people. Plenty of housing for the poor and the rich but nothing for the in between. I live at Town Village at Audubon Park in East Memphis.and it is the best for you money but it is rental not to be purchased. Town Village tops any other rental

The population growth that Southaven is currently experiencing is from a particular demographic strata that you might not desire. Crime is increasing, and property values are about to drop.

You are definitely not from Memphis but I have to admire your attempt to get people to move to the area.... I will say that not every area of Memphis is bad....and Harbor Town is absolutely a beautiful area and a safer part of the city... I was born and raised out there and I actually build some of those homes right that in that very area you're doing your video in... and finally I will say that if you can actually afford a home in that area you will most likely not see a lot of crime or be exposed to some of the more dangerous areas of Memphis Tennessee🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

None of my videos state I'm from Memphis. I'm a die hard Texan but I've been in Memphis and a Realtor here for almost 10 years. The channel is moreso to educate who are thinking about/have to move. There wasn't a resource out there like this when I moved years ago and so I strive to be the person I wish I had when I moved. Harbor Town is beautiful and yep you echoed exactly what I said in the video regarding safety in the area! Thanks for watching! 🙂

My wife and love Harbor Town, especially watching the sunsets at Tuggs. The Wolf River trail is great for shorter walks. It gets interesting when the river is at flood stage. The downside which must be pointed out is Mud Island (Harbor Town is north side of Mud Island) is a sandbar. This is significant because of the high risk of termites. The traditional methods of termite protection doesn’t work. There has been several home which has gone through extensive repairs because. The other downside is the traffic during great weather. It is a big public park across the street on the Mississippi River side. Regardless it is still a unique and great place to live.

Common sense says homes that are priced well below the “average” prices for homes are priced lower for a reason. In Memphis crime and neighborhood instability is often the reason for lower priced homes. Memphis suburbs, such as Bartlett, Germantown, Arlington, and Collierville are safe, with good schools, excellent police and fire departments, medical facilities, and shopping centers. Most homes in these suburban cities are going to be priced in the $400,000-$750,000 range but there are older smaller homes in the low $200,000 to $350,000 range. If you’re moving to Memphis from another State or area, and you’re not familiar with Memphis, you absolutely must investigate the area you’re potentially looking to buy a home in. Memphis suburbs are safe and great places to live, but many areas in Memphis are not safe and are in fact dangerous. As a long time Memphis resident I would definitely not buy a home in Cordova. A lot of homes are for sale in Cordova for a reason.

The Memphis suburbs are very, very, different than living in the city limits of Memphis. Collierville, Germantown, Bartlett, Arlington are upscale incorporated cities with their own highly trained, efficient, police and fire departments. Crime is low in those areas with excellent schools. Homes in the suburbs are generally from $400,000 up to million dollar mansions. No state income tax, property taxes in the suburbs are low compared to other similar size communities. No reason to even go into Memphis City limits unless your work requires it. Memphis has an NBA team. The University of Memphis sports teams are often nationally ranked. Winter consists of one or two snowfalls nothing like living in a Northern state. I know because I was born and raised in NW Indiana. Memphis weather nothing like that. The city of Memphis and Shelby county have crime problems but the suburban cities don’t. I lived in Germantown for 23 years moved to Collierville 22 years ago. I’ve never been a victim of crime and feel absolutely safe living in the suburbs.
