Ready for a concert now 🎉🎉, I want some chest shaking bass
Hi Jiles, Would this Eversolo DMP A8 streamer be a good pairing with my Sugden Masterclass IA4 or Accuphase E4000 Integrated amplifiers? Speakers are Atalante 5 and SF Sonetto V. Thanks.
You have no idea what you're talking about.
Cutting out the price was pretty lame
It’s in the new version. This one was blocked by copyright so I had to shave a bunch of the background video out. Just watch the other one :)
@@JilesMcCoy thanks mate
Anyone have a full list of unsuitable GPU's for an upright setup, I understand certain ones due to the cooling setup have worse thermals on upright. Lian Li only seem to list the 4000 series.
Great question, I'd like to see a list too!
I have problem with wifi connection. It disconnects and connects and does that many many times, im going crazy with it
Bad times!
I know this is an old video but ive just bought a T8 for my RX-A6A, what would be the optimal temp for an avr? Just wondering what to set it to come on for or when to sound the alarm.
Jiles, I hooked up my turntable to this FOSI power amp but the volume from my speakers is very low. What do I do to increase the speaker volume? I am using expensive 3-way Technics speakers and Technics turntable. Any help would be appreciated.
Does the turntable have a built in phono stage?
I have a oppo 203 from 2017 in europa holland cost at that time 850 EURO s now 2024 it plays on and on. No fall. But he is old now. You can buy the magnetar 800 in holland 1500 euro now. A lot of money but i think it is the only one to have a new one for 4 k disks.
Do you need the XLR audio outputs? Or something like sacd playback?
We need to get back to basics......
Basics!
Over priced and the top plate is too small!
I think you can get a larger top plate? Its worked great for all the stand mounts I've thrown at it so far.
I saw Fort Cornwallis. We know what happened to Cornwallis don't we.
Something bad?
Cornwallis is best known as one of the leading British general officers in the American War of Independence. He surrendered his army at Yorktown in October 1781 after an extended campaign through the Southern colonies. Fort Cornwallis in Penang is named for Cornwallis. RB
I’m pretty excited. I’m doing a pair of the SI 18s with a powersoft SP2-8000. Jason from GSG is gonna hook me up.
Thats awesome!
wWat amp would you recommend? I think kef like to pair them with Hagel amps
That really depends on your taste. so may great options out there!
Thank you very much for sharing this video! Your descriptions are greats and help us to decid what we need. I've just bought a Dali Oberon 3 pair, with a Marantz PM6007 amplifier and i'm extremely satisfied. I can listen for hours, it's real pleasure, with a great stereo scene, a lot of precision and détails, and a balanced sound which makes me re discoverng my CD's. Just a question for other owners please : which sound do you prefer, with ou without the grill ? Musically.
I almost always listen without a grill.
Hi Jiles, thanks for your video just one question is this amp quiet?
Yes, completely silent.
What do you think about using these speakers (BR 08 + BRC 01) in conjunction with the AV-receiver Yamaha A3080 for movie?
I think that would be great!
@@JilesMcCoy And if you choose between them and the Klipcsh RP 5000F II?
Thanks for visiting penang. Hope you had a great time.
I did! I hope to visit again soon!
The rapid movement of your camera on your head from side to side is making me dizzy. Don't ever do that again
Its like a roller coaster!
I’m in market for this sub or micro 3000 please help me
What can I tell you? What is your use case?
17’ by 14’ by 8’H. Mostly movies. have cast towers center and rears now
Great video. I am definitely interested in the Wiim pro plus after watching this video. I noticed you only used RCA cables to connect it to your amp or receiver. Both my amp and receiver are old school. I have a Marantz 1060 and Onkyo TX8511. Is there any different way I need to know to connect it? I do have a newer type cd player with digital optical and coaxial connections. To connect the cd player would I just use either one of these? I am thinking the coaxial would work the best. I was all set to purchase an SMSL SU 1 DAC but after seeing this video I could have a streamer and a DAC with an AKM chip all in one. Thanks again for a great video. 👍🏼
I would try this DAC before buying another one.
@@JilesMcCoy you are referring to the DAC in the Wiim pro plus streamer, correct?
@@drums5434 Yes

Thanks for watching!

I bet the TCL q6 65 inch you to test is better then my TCL 55 inch series 6 from 2019 and costs the same price I paid for it. Crazy how TVs have gotten better in a few years
They are pretty darn good.
I am considering purchasing a Sinbosen power amplifier from my sub bass speakers (21") but i am not sure whether to buy a Class D or Class TD amplifier. Could you please describe with regards to the amplifier tone what is the difference between both Classes
Ive not heard their class D before.
Definitely she is more hotter than Sonos!!
Those new Sonos headphone are sexy!
Congratulations on the awesome build. I have been watching your builds for a couple of months now. I am super inspired to take up this build as my first build. Before that have three questions for you. 1. With your experience do you think 18" Dayton Ultimax can match up SVS PB 3000? Or do you recommend 18'' ported build kit for that with 18" Dayton Ultimax? 2. How low does this sealed build go? I was looking to hit 15Hz. 3. Can you publish any measured graphs out of the build? Appreciate any comment.
1) Yes. 2) I think I posted a measurement somewhere for this? This was one of my very first builds though, so maybe not. 3) I don't have any of those details now. This was years ago.
Hey jiles. Is 475 watts sufficient on sw15 or does it limits the output?
Seems like it worked ok to me!
Hi. Frame TV with no soundbar. Stereo Pair at the Rear would work? What do you think?
Stereo pair for the main channels? L/r ?
Funniest pronunciation of Penang I've ever heard 😂
I am all over the board with it!
Is that rattling with the bass part of the track?
Not sure.
the 1st thing u need to know about this sub is that its expensive. so it better sound great.... take out a 2nd Morgage esp if you want/need 2 of them....
It sounds great!
Is this white glass?
Yes it is!
That is not made of glass. I have the same refrigerator.
@@wd8557 It is. If yours isnt then you dont have this fridge.
This is my first time here I'm definitely subscribing! Glad I let you know before you unboxed it 📦💯🔈👍🏻 I enjoyed it!

Starke SW15 is a great 15" Subwoofer as it's $549, better when was $499 on Sale. My OSD Trevoce 12s paid $285 and Very Happy as it's quality, was selling for $600 few years ago.
Prices went up on many subs, mine was $299(got 5% reduced promo code) now it's $349 and the Trevoce triple 15's went from $499 to $599. I just wanted a cheap Budget system and the Onkyo THX Atmos receiver for $349 on Amazon I got $100 off using Prime Visa promo. $300 Vizio M51 Soundbar + $285 Sub and $270 Onkyo receiver. Seperate controls I can keep Soundbar low while playing the subwoofer via Onkyo. At night after 9 pm so neighbors not complaining i can just use Soundbar with it's 5" down-firing subwoofer. Mostly i run the Onkyo and OSD Trevoce sub from Afternoon until 5 pm. But i will start using it more 7-9 pm especially on Friday and Saturday night.
I did not want any Rear speakers as the system is basically facing my Kitchen. Using the 2 small Vizio soundbar rears they on my Kitchen Counters. Wanted Dolby Atmos. Later if i move the system I may buy more speakers or bring them from Orange County. Klipsch R-120 SW compared to my OSD Trevoce is junk. Klipsch is okay for House Parties or Rap music, it's not good for nothing.... Later on I will buy SVS SB2000
Nice!
@@JilesMcCoyMaybe KZread just removed them recently
Why on earth would I do this when my local pawn shops are dumping Blu-rays at 2 for $5
If you don’t see the value then you shouldn’t do it.
Thanks Jiles. Good overview in less than 10 mins. Thanks for making! :-)
Glad it was helpful!
could you please advise what is this amp is like a producing the sub bass frequencies
Works great.
Great review. You have a very good, clear delivery. Can you PLEASE help me with something. ALL I want to do is steam FROM MY PHONE (hi-res FLAC, or lossless Apple) to something I can connect to my vintage receiver. Isn't there something simpler than this WiiM? Like a Bluetooth adapter but with WiFi than can handle hi-res? I'm confused about this need for STREAMERS with apps etc. PLEASE solve my mystery!
A device like the WiiM really is the simplest solution. You get much more complex when you start tying to integrate a mobile device as a streaming source in a vintage set up.
I have the dragon one
Nice!
You are RICH Jiles. You have a nice family & a tremendous Wife!, also you make ($) Millions off your You Tube Video's.
Ahhh, true on the family items… but KZread is a passion project. It’s not really making money.
Some, but not enough to live on.
You need to move to Canada to get better Streaming, unless you live in a LARGE US City, with better streaming
Right on
They look nice on the outside, have you taken them apart?
No, no plans to disassemble.
This guy did a really good review of the Starke SW15 in his Theater Room showing a few different movie clips too: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZnWTlNKNl9GbkdI.html

But now, after resetting it, I can't get past the registration or the first initial setup step because it tries to connect to the Zappiti server. But we all know that they are no longer functioning. One question: do you ever party with your friends? Well, if you do, those 128 Watts, that's supposed to deliver 119 dB SPL on those Klipsch spreakers, will not be enough. Why? Because as the room is filled with people you will have to run that amplifier closer to its operational limit. Furthermore, the amplifiers are designed to operate at their best (with low distorsions) within 50-75% of their power capabilities. Therefore, if you want to run your theoretical amplifier at its maximum 128 W, on a continuous basis, I don't want to know how your speakers will sound and what it may happen to yout tweeters. One may choose to take your advice, but, personally, I will always advice you to ensure a minimum of 3 dB to 6 dB of headroom (reserve power) and even more than that if you can afford it and learn how to use it.
I agree that you need to know your target output to figure out the needed power.
