Most of the hornworms that you are showing seem to have a BLACK? tail (or horn) which is the Tomato Hornworm. The Tabacco Hornworm has a RED tail. They should all just be called "Hormworms". I have found them mush easier to find and get rid of when I have the time to trim my plants better. Also, Eggplants seem to actually be their Favorite and they are much easier to spot and eliminate from those. I now plant eggplants near all my pepper and tomato plants because of this. This is another good one. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pqmkqMeFfqe2Yrg.html

@debm2252 12 hours ago What a fascinating and well researched presentation! Love the history too! Now I am conflicted. The moths are such beautiful interesting creatures and I’m always interested in saving them but the hornworms are so destructive, taking down a bell pepper plant in a day before I notice. Now I find one worm covered in wasp eggs and my compassion has me at odds with Mother Nature.

Had to kill these suckers on my tomato plant. One day my plant was thriving and healthy then literally one day later it’s devoured and I notice little green grenade looking pellets all over the floor and sure enough these giant worms are completely destroying my tomato plant :(

a wire floor is the worst as they can catch their claws on the wire and sometimes pull them out!! they need a substrate deep enough for them to dig and burrow.

why have you not either clipped their way too long claws or given them slate stone so they can file them down on their own???

They are called box turtles because they are able to close themselves in completely. Unlike other species of turtles. They are able to enclose themselves, or box themselves in. That is why they are called a common box turtles. There are other things that are wrong with the video, however I won't go into those. Please be sure that you have all the correct information before releasing a educational video. Thank you for the video however. Indred Cold...

  • @eua4076

@@dandiisun6217 Late reply, but anyway. When they're ready to pupate, they'll have a black pulsating line on their spine, put them in a container full or earth or paper towels, cover the container with something so it could be really dark for caterpillar and wait about 7 or 8 days to take the pupa out from the earth.
