Thanks so much for the great video! I think in the pattern there's an issue with the short rows because after the last turn, there is no instruction to knit back to BOR as you show here. Also I'm wondering if adding another repeat of the short rows would be appropriate for a rounded upper back? Thanks!

I've found purchasing the extra cables let's me start the next section so much easier than using scrap yarn, but I do get it that someone new to this might need to save some money.

Can i ask a question please? If I am knitting stripes and the BOR is now under the left arm, do I change yarn the yarn colour at the new BOR? Would that not mean that a section of my stripe from the original BOR would have an extra row?

You completely converted me qith knitting for olive merino summer tops!! Theyre amazing and not too warm:) have you used the heavy merino on its own? I love the colours so much and want a winter jumper but don't like mohair...

Yes I have! It pills a little bit but if you don’t mind shaving it occasionally it’s a really nice yarn - I don’t find it scratchy at all but still warm enough for winter

Thank you so very much for your video! I bought your pattern, which I find helps along the way, but you sharing what to do along the way really helps. There are so many videos that want to tell you only so much or only sell you the video. But you really are so kind in helping us all out in ways that we really need some help. I really appreciate your video and I LOVE your pattern!! It's wonderful! I adore you. Thank you so much!

I am knitting the small version and used the long tail cast on. I foolishly did not try on my sock until I finished the heel and discovered that I can't get the cuff over my ankle and heel 😢. I think my cast on was too tight. Should I frog it? I tried washing and blocking it to stretch it but it didn't fix my problem. This is the first time I've made cuff down socks. Any suggestions welcome!

For someone who was gifted a wealth of beautiful yarns by 'Valentina', you didn't give her much useful online love, Florence! I think you mentioned where she was associated one time - but so quickly that I didn't catch it and then I couldn't find it without re-watching the whole video. (You mention her several times but without connecting the dots) She's from My Ivory Room, right? In the Chiswick area of Greater London? I travel to the UK every couple of years and all my gallery-visiting is done, I relish a trek to a Distant Yarn Shop (DYS) so ... could you add a few details to your shout-outs. I wish someone were as generous with my knitting obsession as Valentina (whom I've never met!) is to yours. Just sayin'.... Er, I should mind manners now and thank you for your generous sharing of your time and talent in these videos. Pax.

Hi Florence, just wondering what you think about knitting with animal fibers while being vegan. I myself am a vegan, but I do find myself torn between loving to knit (especially with wool) and feeling guilty for the animals suffering. I would really be interested in your thoughts! (And just to be clear: I really don't intend to be judgy or anything, just curious to learn about other perspectives on this topic so I can make up my own mind). Thanks :)

Obviously I’m not Florence, I am vegan though so just thought I’d give you another viewpoint, I choose to knit with wool, obviously it’s a personal choice but for me, I know that my knits will wear better than using acrylic and ill get more use out of them, I also will only buy museling free wool, basically I just try to make the most ethical decisions, along with not buying excessive quantities that I will never get through, I know some people will buy secondhand from charity shops so the money doesn’t go directly to the yarn companies and that helps them, and other vegans will only use acrylics and non animal fibres, it’s just whatever you feel is best for you really xx

For colourfixing I always use vinegar and it has worked really well with navy and white where the navy has turned the water super blue.

I really liked "The Green Hippo" in Helsiki Ravintola and they also have vegan food! I would definitively visit the National Library next to Helsinki Cathedral, it is an impressive place for book lovers. "Snurre" is the best wool shop in Helsinki (even Kutovakika shops there) with very friendly staff 😊

Talking about color work sock and stretchiness: you should look into ladderback jacquard. I knitted a pair of color work socks (the Fairy Ring socks, by Katie Green) and I ended up knitting one sock with normal floats and the other using ladderback jacquard to catch floats. The second sock is neater and stretchier, and it fits better. I recommend looking into it if you are concerned about color work socks that don’t fit and are not stretchy enough.
