  Words bring such truth, paint a picture that others see & really understand, bringing hearts forever together. I traveled years from Florida through states, to a little country town, Graham, NC, where she put gold on my finger & life to our children...for a quarter century we shared love I'd never known & she forever knows this truth❤

  I'd never heard this song until my hospice patient passed away 2 days ago, the day before his and his wife's 62nd anniversary. She told me to listen to it because it was "their song." God rest your soul, Mr. C, and God bless your wife and give her comfort and peace 🙏🏼 ❤

  I sang "You're My Best Friend" to her about a decade ago when we were young (still young though, lol) and just good friends. Today, I am playing this song while working from home, and she is lying in bed next to me. She is not just still my best friend; she's now the mother of our six-year-old daughter and is carrying our soon-to-arrive son. She is the woman of my life. I look forward to playing this song to her many more times in the years to come, and even as often as this post gets liked. 💕💕

  I took my new bride to see him in the mid 90s. She did not know who he was. We he started singing she immediately said she liked his voice! He is probably my favorite country singer.

  I would like this song sang at my funeral, also. I used to play this song for hours at a time - perfecting it on the guitar while sitting on my white bean bag chair in my bedroom. I have no biological children - so a few words still need to change (you gave life to "your" children - and to me a reason to go on).
