Just wondering how those numbers are holding up after 6 years of service, or you still have the boat? I plan on painting my registration numbers on too, waiting for print shop to cut me up a pair of adhesive stencils, they do reg. decals and said they would do it for the same price. Did you do any mechanical or chemical prep to the surface? My boat is PVC and I'm thinking sand with 1000 grit and wipe down with acetone? My local hardware store carries vinyl paint, it's more money, but it could give me the best chance for longevity as I plan on frequent rollups. We here in British Columbia, Canada have to register all boats that are equipped with motors of 10HP and higher, registration can be done online at Transport Canada and it's free.
@HypergaugeDIY4 ай бұрын
It is actually holding up pretty good. I do have to touch up on the chip and faded area once awhile. Very simple work. I did not sand the PVC surface. Good luck with your project! 👍
