Hi, i just recently graduated with a bcom finance degree and doing a finance graduate programme would acca give me the same opportunities as CA(SA). Im really drawn to acca due to the flexibility
@ConradBrink12 сағат бұрын
I get you 100%; rather look at doing CIMA in south Africa because it’s better recognised and also you can get exemptions for ca(sa) up to the last 2 board exams.
@Kn1ghtHawk9911 сағат бұрын
With ACCA's accreditation with IRBA, the recognition is definitely increasing and will be more widely recognised in SA. It will take a bit of time, but it is gaining traction. You can't go wrong with either option. In a few years it would probably be seen as being on a similar level such as in the UK, Botswana, Zimbabwe etc.

ACCA is a top qualification for anyone in the world in Finance. The question would be: would you want to study it just so that you can move to another country or does it really interest you? I would do whatever makes you happier!

If you have a degree in Accounting then you can most likely work at a business as an accountant? But age is just a number! If ACCA inspires you, then I fully suggest going into it. The opportunities are endless.

@@ayushi5565 I have purchased one of their Mock exams (they also sell that separately) and I was shocked when I saw the platform. It's nothing like the ACCA's official exam platform and it just confuses students. By reaching the real exam, students MUST be confident using the platform, otherwise they will "pay" with their precious time. I also tried out the LearnSignal's free trial period and I was not satisfied with the depth of content, so decided to stick to BPP. BPP's materials are superb, though they are quite expensive. I think it's better to pass sooner rather than struggling with LearnSignal.

I don’t like having the mindset of “it’s going to be hard”, more like “it’s going to be challenging and worth it”. I am just about to finish my master degree in business administration, finished my bachelor in business as well and did 2 internships at EY (audit company). It was challenging, but that what kept me motivated. Now my goal is to become a consultant and open my consultancy business and my obvious path that I see now is the ACCA qualification. What are your thoughts?

I personally subscribed to LearnSignal as per your recommendation, and I still think they are the best provider for my specific scenario (I work a full time job, which may even require overtime sometimes😬). I love that the modules as bite sized and they also provide a learning plan. I am still at the early modules, and it feels a bit too concise for me, so I supplement it with reading materials on the ACCA study hub.

I would advise choosing BPP. They are a platinum learning tuition provider opposed to LearnSignal is only being gold. These ratings are made for a reason, LearnSignal's exam practice application is useless, if you use that, you might fail your exam. BPP has the best tutors and learning materials. Their exam practice application is quite similar to ACCA's Practice Platform. If you book the Taught, Revision and Mock exam modules (it's really expensive) and you fulfill the marks requirements, you will gain lifetime pass assurance (taking the same paper for free until you pass).
