Hey conrad , first of all GREAT VIDEO So im an ACCA student struggling real hard. Like ive failed the easiest paper of acca (BT) in my first attempt and then passed in the second attempt. Now im doing FA and its so damn hard. I feel like this is not for me. I take a lottt of time to study simple stuffs in acca. I always feel like i should quit but the value and potential this course offers is holding me back from quitting. I always wanted to travel the world, and i love the fact how acca is super flexible. But its soo damnn hard. Im wasting a lott of time in these knowledge level papers that my friends passed within just a few months. Im like completely lost. Idk what to do

hey there :), I felt exactly the same in my second and third years of studying. It was super tough like you mentioned and there were times when I just wanted to give up. A thought that helped me a lot was: If other people can do it (my immediate circle of friends and other people I knew) then I can as well. The only way to get good at this is by doing a lot of practice questions, so perhaps try that. But otherwise, I'll always be here cheering you on.

I am just about to finish my master degree in business administration, finished my bachelor in business as well and did 2 internships at EY (audit company). It was challenging, but that what kept me motivated. Now my goal is to become a consultant and open my consultancy business and my obvious path that I see now is the ACCA qualification. But I wonder if it is enough to do part time study about 3hrs a day since I’m thinking to start full time job in different industry, which is not related with accounting. The more I research abt Acca I’ve got close to realism. I’m very hesitating cos to get ACCA qualification, it requires much of money and I am not sure if I could balance the time to work and study at the sametime😅 I need your honest advice. My motto in life is always that excuses are the crutches of the uncommitted. So, that being said - you can do anything you set your mind to and you will for sure be able to pass, you will just have to sacrifice other things in your life!

Also, what's the worst-case scenario? You can just switch to something else and treat it as an experiment for the time being.

My local Chartered Accountancy course forces me to give either 4 or 8 exams together and the exams only happen once every 6 months. This has me stuck cuz I gotta clear them together (like 2 groups of 4 papers, so 4 papers together) and if I don't clear them all, I fail everything and have to give them again. I'm thinking of moving to ACCA since it'll let me give one exam at a time. Like in my last attempt I cleared 5 out of 8 papers but it doesn't matter since I didn't pass them all. Another reason I wanna move to ACCA is same as you, international opportunities. I don't wanna be stuck in one place forever.

Hi Conrad , I'm pursuing CA qualification of India (at the Final level), actually i was looking forward to enrolling for ACCA ( i will get 7 exemptions) should we pay upfront money for claiming exemption at the time of registering? Coaching that u would suggest ? Books u would suggest for preparation? Actually I've also completed 3 yrs of practical experience, can i get job abroad now so that i can pay for the exam myself?

Hi there. CA for India is extremely good. ACCA will be a breeze for you. Use LearnSignal, they are the cheapest. Exemptions, you pay after you apply for them or when you claim them I believe. ACCA will definitely make you more attractive to go abroad. Hope this helps!

Heyy great video loved it 💯💯 so I’m Puneeth from India and I came across ACCA and yes I’m pursuing MBA and have 9 papers exemption but I never thought of doing CA or ACCA because like that idea didn’t even come in mind but now since my goal is to travel work in abroad I felt ACCA was the one but now after seeing the course idk I felt it’s hard and thought of not continuing at the same time I feel I might lose an opportunity so can you guide me with this And one more thing I wasn’t that good student in finance but gradually improving so keeping that in mind can you pls suggest what steps I should consider next In this year 2024 June I can take exam for SBL. THANK YOU WILL BE WAITING FOR YOUR REPLY 😊

Hey there, thanks so much. Consider first completing your MBA and then pursuing ACCA. Get a job where you work in finance or a related field then start pursuing the final stages of ACCA. But other tips I can give you is just do a LOT of question papers. Like question papers beat any revision that you could do. Goodluck :)

AI will play a heavy role in processing transactions in the short to medium term . Yes it is a tool, but a very capable and a powerful tool. Most of the routine work , AI will do faster and accurately. It is like robots that were first introduced in early 1950 in Germany. But how many countries other than the developed WEST ever make use of robots ? not very many , today . 2023. If you want to be an expert Book-keeper with ACCA, you will be heading for extinction, like the type-writers or Yellow pages of the old age, now almost extinct. Do not ever underestimate the power of machine learning that is embedded in AI. It has taken over the JOB of routine works of many in the medical field, so what makes the field of Accountancy immune from take over ? NONE !
