Great video... I'm in the market for a new Head/Cab, using a Trace Elliot ELF Head w/2x8" cab. I mainly play at home these days; but looking for something different with more tone options/EQ. I've decided to go with the GK Fusion 800S 800 Watt amp (400 Watt at 8 Ohm, 800 Watt at 4 Ohm)...... I'm trying to decide between these cabs: One GK NEO 2x10" 500 Watt Cab (8 Ohm) -OR- One GK NEO 2x10" 800 Watt Cab (either 4 or 8 Ohm).... I'm really looking for an amazing TONE over volume when at home........but may eventually start playing out later on. I currently play a Rickenbacker 4003S and a Dingwall John Taylor Sig bass. Any opinions, etc? THANKS SO MUCH! I'm still learning the ins/outs of head/cab configurations. ;)

The Adam T8V's heavy compete with the HS8's in fact in some songs they sound almost identical. Currently about £100 more for the HS8's, I think it's all personal preference, some hate the sound of each speaker sets for different reasons and are also loved and praised by others

If you're making big money with your playing - change them. If you are millionaire - change them. If you are like me - find ones who stay fresh longest, and change them before some important gig or recording. There's no logic in changing strings every week or so if you play 250€ instrument. That way, you'll buy a new bass every two or three months.

That was surprisingly real and honest. Cool to so some real, unstaged, first impressions on these. Yes, the KZ have a very audiophile tuning with tons of pushed upper mids and treble. It can be straight up painful with a lot of songs. I highly recommend testing the foam too, especially the COMPLY P Type. They isolate like earplugs and sit like cemented but, at the same time, are able to disappear in terms of feel. Especially with an IEM like the X20

I have no clue why youtube recommended this to me :D, but hey. Maybe these speakers are the best for you, but they aren't the "best" monitors for sure. They are good at showing you problems in your mixes early on, because they are saturated at the mid frequencies. But they also can decieve you if you aren't aware that they are somewhat coloring the spectrum more, than other studio monitors. I think if you are looking for a new pair of monitor speakers, just try out as much as possible, if you can try them out where you will be mixing or mastering that's awesome. Don't listen to anybody, only yourself and your ears. If you are on a tight budget, yes you can easily get great two way speakers, but mainly three way/or more speakers will give you hell of a lot bigger/wider stereo field and separation.

I have an S2 Standard and a CE24. I love both a lot, but the CE24 wins for sure. The S2 body is made in the US, but it still has imported electronics, while the CE has all US made parts. Not a huge thing, but noticeable. They both have push/pull coil splits, but I find the CE24 to have a nicer split sound. My biggest thing is the feel with CE24's neck vs. the S2. The S2 has a finished neck, which looks nice, but can be a bit sticky if you get sweaty at all. The CE24 has a really smooth, great feeling neck. I'd say CE's are worth the little extra money

The S2's have usa pickups now. It's what's stopped me from buying an s2 before. S2's were def a notch above the se's I've played. Incredible guitars. I haven't played a core yet. Then covid hit, and they're locking up all the guitars now.

Phil from know your gear says he prefers the s2's over the se's, but he can't really explain why. And the price diff on paper doesn't make the s2 make sense. But I think the exact same thing having played them both precovid. One store had 3 used mark holcomb se's right next to each other. I'd rate one as the best, the second was 95% as good or it was placebo, but the third one was just dead sounding for whatever reason. Maybe the strings, but I didn't think so.

@@tylerrayhughessome say that‘s the deal with PRS that you can easily purchase them online because of their consistency. I bought two SE guitars online and they both will stay. They are the best value for money guitars you can buy in my opinion. BTW the „594“ relates to the scale length. Not the pickups. I think that‘s what you suspected in your video. Good luck with your choice! At some point in my life I might want an S2 or a core but if I‘m honest my two SE‘s are totally doing it for me.

@@tylerrayhughesGlad to hear that the Fender has earned more attention! :) Have you tried Warmoth? I highly recommend their Jazz and Precision parts, especially their rock-solid necks...the heavier and the older the better. My main gigging passive Warmoth parts Jazz/Precision hybrid bass is absolutely incredible and it cost me less than a standard USA Fender. It has a one-piece alder jazz body with Fender "originals" pickups, a precision neck consisting of a goncalo alves neck shaft with steel reinforcement rods flanking the truss rod, and a thick Macassar ebony fretboard with block inlays. Incredibly solid, it never moves even in humid weather, and there isn't a dead spot anywhere on it. :)

I had a pair and did like them but went for something more neutral (German niche boutique product). They do NOT ssound ""absolutely neutral"! They do colour (albeit in a pleasing way) and make things sound bigger (which is a good thing if you have clients around that wouldn't be too excited about brutally honest monitors). Still good speakers, but probably no competition for some much pricier ones. Actually thinking of getting another pair as a "second opinion".

Thanks for explaining. My first IEM is the KZ ZS10 PRO x. The reason I bought it was not because I know about bass or midrange but because it has 5 drivers on each side, it was affordable, very available here where I'm from and that KZ is highly recommended by many. I got just this last week of June this year and I did not know that I need a USB C to 3.5mm that have a DAC because I thought that all USB C to 3.5mm are all the same. The sound was really different compared to the wireless earbuds and I noticed that when I am listening to videos in my laptop or phone while using the ZS10 pro X that I do not need to dial the volume up to clearly understand what they are saying in the videos. My wireless are not the high quality once but the mid ranged once like the Galaxy Buds FE and the Soundcore P40i. I might be buying the ZS10 pro 2 or the KZ you said that is good for vocals since I will be using this to watch youtube videos like yours. Thanks again I was researching what KZ to buy and what are the difference and have not seen any until your video pop up in my recommended videos.

Thanks for taking the time to share! I will say, I Like the ZAS for vocals because it helps my vocal to stand out above other instruments due to the mid range. I don't think i would prefer them for listening to talking videos on KZread. For that i may prefer something more neutral and less "excited". Good luck!
