Small earthquakes in SA and VIC from what i heard
That rumbling sound is the local yowies ripping a few farts that echo down the gully mate😂😂
Not suggesting earthquakes..but the noise you describe Zeb is the same as what we heard there last July, though there was a reported earthquake at that time….?
Unreal footage mate. Defiantly need to be fit & tough to do this type of hunting. I got one of those ticks under my arm two weeks ago chasing Samba bloody annoying... How do I support your Patrion channel? Can you send me a link to get onboard? Thanks for sharing your Samba hunting tips. Great channel. Bloody awesome. 🦌🦌👌
What brake did you put on the super lite?
New to your channel, liked and subscribed 😎👍
I was in there few years back when the big 5.9 earthquake hit. There was a roar up the valley bit like thunder but there was no clouds. Rumblings are small quakes i reckon.
That's about what I'm thinking to, witnessed a rock dislodge from a cliff this last trip
Heaps of big rocks fell down...smashing trees etc when 5.9 hit. Mountain moved back and forward about 1foot.

I didn’t think it was an earthquake, I heard it for more than an hour Saturday night and then heard it again Sunday around midday
13:10 whats happened here? Someone shot the deer and didnt find???
Yeah that's exactly what happened, I ended finding out who they were from a Facebook post. We had a good chat and they had looked for the deer very hard but had some how missed it.
He will have something to remember, hopefully not to burnt and you can get him one next time!!
Yeah Mark, he had a great to any way and I'm sure he'll be back for another go.
Absolute banger of a video Zeb, great to see some good deer numbers out there. Alot of young stags about, hopefully they make it to a trophy kinda maturity🤞🏻 Thanks mate 😁
Hey Sam, let's hope everyone that hunts in there can have some control and leave these young stags for a fee years. Thanks for your comment
I heard the rumbling sound too, don’t have a clue what it was though
Yeah righto, I believe it's the mountain growing ?
How good is that water bladder….
Yeah I happy with mine. Easy to fill and the bite valve is easy to drink from
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures😂
I don’t think that’s a young sambar stag I’m pretty sure its the elusive lickalotapuss deer 🦌😂
He was certainly interested in her 🤔 she didn't seem to impressed with him though, poor bugger 😆
Thanks.
No worries mate
Love what u do mate . As a gippslander new to hunting deer specifically you make it all a little easier . When the missus gives me the go ahead ill be trying to join ya . In the meantime keen to try get into the online portion , building a house just gets in the way of all the important stuff like bein out bush tho hahah
Thanks mate, get on the course and enjoy the journey 👍
Always enjoyed your vids Zeb cheers. You don’t often use a face cover - mask…?
Thanks mate, no I've got a beard 😉
It’s definitely the barrel heating up.
I'm not 100% convinced of that yet.
Okay then try this. Spread three shots out over 30 minutes. This allows the barrel to cool for 10 minutes between shots. If the third shot isn’t a flyer it’s not a heat issue.
@shawncoleman2280 I'll have to give it a go, I'm a little impatient so I'll need to slow down 😉
Heartwarming vid Zeb, I love taking my young bloke out, nothing better! Raising them right! How goods a fallow carry out too hahah 😅
Yeah the carry out on this one was ideal. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
How about that close encounter! 😮 Unreal Zeb! Looked like she was trying to round you to catch your scent, that wind must have been perfect! Love it mate! 😁
Your spot on there mate, she was doing her best to catch my sent to determine what I was.
What an encounter! Incredible trip mate.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment mate. She put on a show
Hey guys awesome video I love the way you guys stalk and hunt the sambar is it public land in Victoria? If so id love to know roughly what region because I’m from tassie and im used to glassing faces ect but everywhere I’ve been and hunted seems to be way to thick for that style of hunting 😃
Hey mate yeah this is public land. If you want to know where you'd better book a hunt with me 👍
That standoff was something! When I'm in the bush I'll often sense little thumps. They're so subtle that I'm not sure if I'm hearing them or feeling them. Are these possible the deer stamping there feet in the distance before making a quiet getaway?
Quite possible, a lot of the time they will stamp their feet without honking.
😅that stand off, was 10/10 zeb.very tense...beautifully done bro .xtremely satisfying . Muzza ..nz.😂
Glad you enjoyed the action Muzza 👍
Amazing footage!
Glad you enjoyed it mate 👍
Knock knock...who's there? Awesome footage of the hind
😆 thanks
Nice to see real hunting! Similar to my way of Whitetail deer hunting.I stillhunt 99%of the time.
Get the blood pumping doesn't it. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 😀
Mate, what I took away by watching this, is your eyes and ears are always scanning the area for the slightest sound or view, well done to you, very informative
When I'm in the bush, I'm on edge all the time. Thanks for your comment 👍
It’s all about the experience! Cool.
💯 Barry
Great fotage of the stomping marathon😂
She wasn't sure about the lump in the grass was she 😀
Stick it in your pack boys! It isn't that hard...
13:35 you've got a set of kahunas on ya Zeb.... Maybe I've watched too many docos but I hated the idea of camping alone 😂
What docos are you watching?
Got 1 of these on order in 308W, should be ready for Pick up in about 2 weeks, got a couple of packets of the winchester BST's in 150Gn and 162GN hopefully it likes them as well as yours does till I can work out some Loads
I've had feedback that the winchester power points in 150gn shoot well in this rifle. Hope you have as much fun with your superlite as I have
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures cheers. I'll pick up a packet and see how it goes
I will check out this Howa Superlight, see how it fits, I would think this rifle would be my off hand bolt action, and I like a shorter length of pull with off hand shooting.
I find the Howa Superlite unbelievably steady when shooting offhand for a rifle so light.
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures Thank you for sharing that info about off hand shooting the howa superlite. it is something that gun reviews so often skip over. Being short and lite, I was hoping it could be good for off hand shooting.
Top stuff Zeb Good on Emmett getting in amongst it Have to get him doing bit of commentary on the next one Like the father and son shadow part Well done
Thanks mate, he gets a bit shy. I'm working on him to be the star 🌟 of the show.
Maybe it needs to break in a bit?
Perhaps, she's broke in now. Probably shot 200-250 now. Averages 1.3moa.. which is pretty good with a superlite rifle and 8x scope.
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures Agreed, the 2 to 8 power scope (I have a Leupold 2 to 8) is a bit hard for me at the bench as well. I put that scope on my 22 and it works great out to about 60 yards. I am old with old eyes.
May I ask the name of the wind indicator product you're using?
It's a Primos wind checker
Wicked footage Zeb. I loved seeing all the sign in detail and up close. I found it really educational and such an emersive experience if you know what I mean. Watching the video felt like I was there with you stalking sambar. Good work legend 👌
Thanks Nick, love your feedback 😀
Hey Zeb was wondering if you could get the specs of Anthonys CPAP machine. Ive just been diagnosed with sleep apnea and will need a portable unit for hunting and camping. If you can kindly assist that would be excellent. Even if he posts the specs in the video comments here thanks JB
cpap.com.au/pages/resmed-airminiHi Zeb The CPAP is one of these cpap.com.au/pages/resmed-airmini?Google+Ads&AF+Paid+Advertising&gad_source=1 It needs to be paired with a battery if you want to be off grid. I use one of these: cpap.com.au/products/pilot-24-lite-battery?Google+Ads&AF+Paid+Advertising&gad_source=1 This is good for 2 nights maybe 3
Have you done a video on aging meat Zebra? Couldn’t find.
No I have, I usually leave it in a fridge for 10-14 days if I can.
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventuresI will try that, thanks! 👍
Priceless shadow moment 😁
It's a great feeling
Always time well spent with your kids and these videos in years to come will be cherished even more. Oh and don't worry it won't be that long before the roles are reversed with the young fella waiting for his old man to catch up🤣😂
Yeah I 💯 agree except for keeping up, it'll be a good while yet 💪
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures Yeah that's what I thought🙄
Enjoyed it!
Glad you did 👍
Great hunt with your son. Awesome content.
Thanks Heath, anytime spent in the bush with kids is awesome
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures Out of curiosity what was the two rifle setups in this video?
Thanks Heath
@heathgriffiths774 one was a Howa Superlite 308w the other a Tikka T3x CTR 6.5 creedmoor
Well done. Emmett will be behind the rifle soon enough!
Thanks Dave, he is itching to turn 12.
What made you hate your previous 300wsm Browning ABolt?
To short lop, short forend and big recoil. It just didn't fit me and therefore I never shot it well
@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures l had mine (in 300wsm wood stock) for nearly 20yrs and shot more big stags with it than any of my other rifles. Yes, it was short but very accurate and easily carried around the steep stuff.
@colinperso5825 yeah I shot a few good ones with it but never felt comfortable with it, mine was a synthetic stock stainless. The rifle itself was 1moa but just couldn't bond with it.
Great video mate Nothing better than hunting father and son team
Yeah, I'm looking forward to more of this Simon
Awesome Zeb, what a memory for Emmett when he’s sitting around the camp fire with his mates😀🦌
Exactly Keith, I remember being his age with my Dad. Still tell those stories now
looks like a gun bloke exterminator brake...love mine
Hey Tim it's a Terminator TT
Great to see you taking your son out hunting I hope he continues with the outdoor life as he grows older.
Pretty strong chance that will happen I'd say, Emmett loves everything 'hunting' especially the eating of what we are lucky enough to harvest
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures That's awesome Zeb
I'm sure Emmett will do that 👍
