    I had an e10. I put a quiet pump on my 5kw heater. It worked for a month. Idk if the quiet pump was rated for 5kw, but when I put the original loud pump back on it, then it worked. Glad I didn’t have to take it apart to clean soot and air intake Btw it looks like ur pump is upside down to me. I’ve heard it can have air bubbles if not at the proper angle

    I got an E10 error because I had too much of a voltage drop between the heater and my battery. This didn't allow the pump to run initially when tge glow plug was activated. During glow plug activation you could also see the display screen dim, indicating a voltage drop. Replacing the wiring with a larger Guage wire from the heater to the battery solved that problem. The end result was no fuel was being pumped.

    The most important is to clean the mesh inside the steel burner, the breather hole and the atomiser mesh, eventually the glow plug, the rest is not that important. If you don't clean the aforementioned you'll get white smoke guaranteed.

    Actually soaking carbon buildup in hot soapy water or even better steam cleaning works great! I once left a set of cylinder heads that were caked with carbon upside down outside overnight. it rained that night and the combustion chambers filled with water. I used a wire wheel to clean them up but the water soaking overnight caused the carbon to flake off nicely I could see the big time flaking when I dumped the water out of them that wasn't there the day before. I did use brake cleaner for the final clean on the gasket mating surface. Now I take a spray bottle of water with engine hot at idle and spray the water straight into the intake. cleans better than some solvents in most cases. No joke!

  • @leviscott8519
    @leviscott85196 ай бұрын

    Brake clean does work good for a final cleaning though. If its oil/grease yes brake clean after a diesel brush scrub because it brakes down the grime and doesn't evaporate quick like harsh solvents/brake clean. Iv been around the engine building block.

    Thx bro. You fixed my heater. I've got and clogged air admission. But look again into the fixing angle of diesel pump. It can be critically important

    Thanks for the advice. I think u got the fuel pump wrong. It should point up the pipe to heater at least 30 degrees to bleed away any cavitation bubble and not get stuck and pump and air cushion! I never seen a pump mounted this way

    Neat stove, one of the better four inch box steel models I've seen. For a project I bought all the metal pieces I needed off eBay and got a Lidl welder to make one specifically to fit a limited space (wall mounted). It was enjoyable to do and the results were great, and it was very cost effective too, and I still have my welder. My personal stove is a Fatsco Pet Stove, a cast iron and marine grade stainless steel model that's been in production for over a century!

Your fuel filter is upside down (fuel going into filter from larger end) compared to other videos i've seen, and compared to my own, which was working fine, can they go either way around then ?
