It would be nice if you posted the date of the video for reference. For example, most of the hikers I'm following are way the hell up north and in your video, you haven't even reached Kennedy Meadows...now I know that's not real time...who knows how far you really are.

@@Sean.Haworth understood. If I still lived in the US, I'd ship you some of the delicious, homemade jerky made with only Redmond's salt and grass-fed beef that I've been making at home. After decades of green juicing, plant-based food, and chemical-free living, my health was mysteriously declining. Watched Fat Fiction on youtube, and against a lifetime mindset, tried high-fat carnivore for 30 days. That turned into 13 months and I feel better and have more energy than ever. Ever! But, boy, it took a huge mental shift (tons of research), many health issues, and a complete breakaway from mainstream thinking, which is built on the sugar and seed oil money machine. But, ANYWAY, thanks for the uploads; enjoying your inspiring journey!

No name jacket. Cheap. Ultimately don’t recommend. Good color/shape and does the trick. BUT quality of zipper and baffles are sub my standard. I needed a jacket last min and couldn’t get mine from home quick enough so I ordered a cheep one. It is what it is. I should have planned a little better.

- How did you train the dragon fly to land on them during the parting shot ? Definitely accurate about the light color verses dark coloring of the shoes upper. Conversely, if wet, a dark shoe will dry faster, but for summer hiking I find it best to have cool feet.

On sizing - how much room do you have at the front of the shoe?

Got 55 miles section hiking the AT in Rocksylvania. Love 'em. I replaced the shoelaces with LockLaces and they work perfectly.

A dragonfly landing on the laces at the end was a nice touch. I have the mars red 001s and was at first worried about dirtying them, but they look better covered in trail debris. They're the best trail shoes I've ever ran in.

how did you find the midsole held up (especially at the heel)? altras (4 pair of lone peaks) were completely compressed after 200 or so miles. topo ultraventure and runventure were completely compressed at around 500 miles. if the midsole holds up fairly well until 1k miles, i’m sold.

Great question! I found they go through a few phases. I think they were pretty done at 900mi. But if you include pack weight, town miles, etc… that’s still 1k Miles. I think they will last wayyyy longer if just used running / by a lighter human.

In the last gear vid I went through my whole pack. I’m using Darntough “tactical” socks and just picked up a pair of Darntough “running” socks. Puffer is a Costco brand :)

I used an opsack from Campo to Kennedy Meadows where bear canister requirements begin. Carrying till requirements end around Tahoe.
