is the Companion Certificate a one time deal, or is it an every year thing..

It is awful! We have had Delta platinum for years and live in Kansas City and have had to let it expire several times. There are several class black out flights so even with booking far in advance can't hardly find a class flight available to use. For example with 10 flights options leaving for day there might only be 1 eligible & sometimes none. The one eligible always seems to be like a 6:45pm or later and arival at midnight. Who wants that time flight ever!

This was an excellent overview. However, I am currently enjoying using the American Express "Plum" card. This "charge" only card more than meets all my needs (smile ... smile).

During the Spring of 2024, I needed to add an American Express "charge" only card to my wallet. After reviewing the available options on their web site, I decided to apply for a business "Plum" card. So far, I am really enjoying my "Plum" card. With the 1.5 percent monthly statement credits, it is easy to get back more than enough to cover the $250 annual fee (smile ... smile).

another thing to mention is that if you decide you don’t want to lock yourself into AA in the future, the Citi card can be product changed into any other citi card but the barclays one must remain as a AA cobranded card

AA hotels you get up to 15,000 loyalty miles per night plus 10x on spend. I just did a stay for $2,000 in AA hotels = 20,000 (10x) bonus points plus about 40,000 loyalty points plus status 30% bonus. For a total of 48,000 loyalty points and 60,000 mile for redeeming.

You forgot to mention the United Club Infinite Card also allows you to access any Star Alliance lounge worldwide as part of the United Club membership, which in my opinion is a far better offering than the other two.

Hi, thanks for your question! I don't believe it is possible to convert the miles for cash unfortunately
Is the certificate something you can only use once ?
You can receive one companion certificate each year of card ownership, and it can be used for 1 return trip. But just note you must first have the card for an entire year before you receive your first companion certificate.
Honestly this is the best lounge card if you can spend 25k per year .. even better than venture x , but it’s a high spend requirement

If you receive an upgrade from the Delta blue or Delta Gold to the Delta Platinum or Reserve, you will receive the certificate on the anniversary of the original card so you wont have to wait a year to get it
How many guest you can bring with you
It depends on where you get you Priorty Pass membership from. If its directly from their website, you will have to pay $35 for each guest. And then with some credit card providers that give you a Priority Pass Select Membership will allow for 2 guests free of charge. Also, each lounge will have different rules as to how many guests you can bring with you.

I received my white gold Business Gold card I was not impressed looks cheap and tacky. I immediately requested the card back to classic gold there is no replacing the classic gold! ✊💳

Hey Daniel, from what I’ve read for the AAdvantage card you can only stay in the admirals lounge if you are flying domestically and it’s $175 to bring guests. Is t that true?
Hi Zandina, thanks for your question! According to the terms and conditions, you can visit and Admirals Club lounge with up to 2 guests free of charge as long as you are flying on a same day American Airlines flights. There is no wording that I can see that requires you to be traveling domestically, nor is there a fee of $175 to bring in a guest. I hope that helps!

It’s nice that they have this loophole for current anniversaries before Oct 1. They most likely knew they would lose a lot of customers if those folks didn’t find the value in keeping it at $325.

question for you I just upgraded to reserve because my partner and I wanna be able to use the lounges. Are we able to access the sky lounge if we don’t fly first class? Also, I am the one who holds the car and makes the reservation, say for example I get upgraded to comfort + or first class, is the other person I’m traveling with upgraded too?
Hi, Thanks for your question! To access the Delta SkyClub you must be traveling on a same day Delta marked flight and you must be traveling on a fare that is above a Basic Economy fare. Also, it allows for you to bring 2 guest along, but that will cost an additional $50 per guest. Thankfully they also provide you with 4 complimentary one time guest passes to the Delta SkyClub. As for getting upgraded with a companion, as long as they are on the same reservation as you AND are either a SkyMiles Member, Medallion Member, or partner airline elite member, you will both be eligible for an upgrade.
I just upgraded to reserve. Oh well!

@@LA-cb2ij Yes, it will get you there quicker thanks to the MQD Boost. The Reserve card provides to ability to earn $1 MQD per $10 spent, which is twice that of what the Platinum card offers
If you get the United Business the United Gateway is a great card to pair with it. No annual fee. And you get a 5k miles anniversary bonus for having your Business card paired with a personal.

Great video. I applied for all three cards last year and was approved. The fees are a little high but the credits for the Amex Platinum and Amex Gold cards offsets the costs. I did make one change this year by switching the regular Platinum card to the Charles Schwab Platinum card so I could have the flexibility of redeeming the points for cash at the 1.1% rate.

Priority Pass has been the biggest disappointment of any CC benefit I have ever had. They don't have actual lounges almost anywhere they just give you a free meal or drinks at 1-2 of the airport restaurants and most of those that the website claims are partners tell you that they don't accept it.
It is not allowing a discount on the prestige subscription with the link.

So when you click the link, it will ask you to' Select Your Residence'. Once you do this it will allow you to apply with the discount included. Please let me know if this works for you

The comment that "Morgan Stanley will charge a 0.3% advisory fee with a $5,000 minimum" is incorrect. At one point, that was the cost of the Access Investing program designed for smaller accounts, but that has been discontinued. Those with Morgan Stanley could be charged well over .3%, or in some cases, no advisory fee, depending on the client's asset allocation. Advisory fee are fees paid to manage assets, not to be confused with service fees. Do be aware that Morgan Stanley advisors receive zero compensation on households under $250,000, so if one showed up with $5,000 and tried to open an account, they may have difficulty doing so.
Love my Amex Delta Plat! I use the card with my Amex Plat to enter Delta Sky club! Also I think only Delta Plat pay you to have the card lol
